Good evening all my name is Rob and I'm currently developing some home exercise equipment for wheelchair users and would really appreciate any exercises you could suggest that can be done from a wheelchair or modified to be wheelchair user friendly.

Hi Rob. In the link below, there are two chair yoga classes and a seated Tai chi class. The breathwork classes are also done seated. You may have to be a member to view.

Sit To Be Fit (TV show) and Chair Dancing DVDs are a couple of brands that have been around a long time. Check YouTube, many of them are out there.

One very important thing to consider is that "wheelchair user" is a very generic term. Some users don't have complete loss of ability to use their legs, some do. Some have high-level injuries that limit even arm use, and some have low-level injuries that allow more movement. Personally, I think if you could design something that would help those without leg use to move those legs and muscles somehow, it would be great. The muscle and tissue atrophy from loss of use is significant.
