Hello everyone!
I am a 37 year old Mom of 2 girls. I have been active on here for about 150 days and a lot of the friends I started with have fallen off. I could use some more support and I always like and sometimes comment on others feeds to give support. I still have a bit to go so if you are just looking for some support to, please send a friend request!2 -

Heyo!
I've been on again off again using the app, but would like to stick to it and actually be part of the community now, especially since I'm getting a bit older and want to be healthy for my future life endeavors. I'm open to all friends ^-^1 -

Hi everyone! I’m a 53-year-old mom of 3 young adults in NYC, and have been struggling with my weight since I was a kid. I was 307 lb at my highest, had gastric sleeve surgery and did fairly well, but after a series of difficult life events, I gained back about half of that. I’ve been dropping it again in slow dribs and drabs, and just surpassed the 100 lb loss mark again. I’m rediscovering my love for physical activity and working on helping my whole family follow good nutritional guidelines. I could really use some friends to help me maintain the momentum and who I in turn can cheerlead for. We’re all in this together!
Thanks,
Carrie2 -
Someone sneak me some almond Snickers 😀3

Would anyone add someone like me who is just starting their weight loss journey today? I need accountability buddies to keep me on track. My doctor wants me to lose weight for my health because the fat acceptance activists got ahold of me and brainwashed me. We are not healthy at every size and I want my life back.5

Kinda restarting this past week and happy to be back!
I’m 41, have two kiddos aged 3 and 16 months (yes, this mama is TIRED) and a 12 year old stepson. Been living in Calgary Canada for three years and love it here.
Like most, I’ve battled with extra weight for years, along with hormone related issues like lipedema, endometriosis and PCOS. I’m finally feeling like I’m in charge of my life and doing what I can to stay on top of things. Going to the gym consistently for almost a year now, incorporating anti inflammatory foods as much as possible, and reducing things like sugars, dairy and gluten (especially enriched flours).
Due to my lipedema, I’m currently not working and stay home with the kiddos, so I started a nonprofit food rescue group that helps reduce food waste from businesses and then redistribute it throughout the community. It’s busy and often frustrating, but always so rewarding when we’re struggling ourselves most of the time. Yay Canada 😅
I love metal and hip hop, all things mystical and mythical, and extremely friendly with certain herbs 🌿 😏3 -
Hey, I'm new to the internet world(communities) 20 years old. Extremely lazy but I feel like I have great potential of doing something great in life but everything is going to waste due to my laziness.0

Having many friends can be a wonderful thing! It often indicates that you have strong social connections and enjoy spending time with a diverse group of people. Friends provide support, companionship, and can enrich your life in many ways. However, it's also important to focus on quality over quantity. Building deep, meaningful relationships with a few close friends can be just as fulfilling as having a large social circle. Ultimately, the most important thing is to have relationships that bring positivity, support, and happiness into your life, regardless of the number of friends you have.0

Hi,rockyriverwaterds
For seniors wanting to get fit again, quick and easy healthy recipes are essential. Here are some ideas:
Vegetable Stir-Fry:
Stir-fry a mix of colorful vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and snap peas in a non-stick pan with a little olive oil.
Add lean protein like chicken breast strips or tofu.
Season with garlic, ginger, and low-sodium soy sauce.
Serve over brown rice or quinoa for a nutritious meal.
Tuna Salad Lettuce Wraps:
Mix canned tuna with Greek yogurt, diced celery, red onion, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Season with salt, pepper, and herbs like dill or parsley.
Spoon the tuna salad into large lettuce leaves and roll them up for a light and refreshing meal.
Oven-Baked Salmon with Roasted Vegetables:
Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Season with lemon juice, garlic powder, and dill.
Surround the salmon with a mix of chopped vegetables like asparagus, cherry tomatoes, and zucchini.
Drizzle everything with olive oil and roast in the oven until the salmon is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
Greek Yogurt Parfait:
Layer Greek yogurt with fresh berries and a sprinkle of granola in a glass or bowl.
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup for sweetness.
This parfait is high in protein, calcium, and antioxidants, making it a nutritious and satisfying breakfast or snack.
Quinoa Salad with Chickpeas and Avocado:
Cook quinoa according to package instructions and let it cool.
In a bowl, combine cooked quinoa with canned chickpeas, diced avocado, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and chopped fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley.
Dress with a mix of olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
This salad is packed with fiber, healthy fats, and plant-based protein, perfect for a light lunch or dinner.80
