    Last time I had challenged myself to eat at restaurants only for social activities, not alone, and then just an appetizer and drink. I lost 4 pounds. So I am going to continue this, and add another challenge. 2 bean dishes per week at home. 1 bean soup recipe and vegetarian pasta and peas...every week!

    So the bean dishes are tasty & have been really good for my wallet. I have been getting entrees à la carte like one taco or a sandwich without a side instead of appetizers as sometimes that is the healthier option.
    I refuse to suffer just to lose 10 pounds! I'm brainstorming again to think of some sort of tweak to cut calories enough to start losing weight..I did just discover the smart bmi website, which puts 144 as a healthy weight for me. That made me feel a lot better!

    I don't know how I lost a few pounds since last time, except I have been drinking less sugar in my coffee in the afternoons. I was gifted Swiss colony chocolates so I thought that it wouldn't make much difference. 😋

    02/19-179.4-(Trend Weight: 180.5)- As you can see by my trend weight which has dropped dramatically, it’s been an up & down week with very little consistency and not enough structured exercise. I can do better. It’s disappointing that I had many days, many meals with much cooking, planning, logging. Many days of ignored cravings and hunger even that I had to get through. And for just a few moments of pleasure here and there, I only dropped 0.2 in a week. It’s truly not worth it. I’ve got to stick to the plan!

    Random stuff about me:
    I am 59 years old this month (ouch). I currently live in Texas with my hubby and crew of kitty babies. I am a neonatal nurse practitioner and work 24hour shifts in a busy NICU. If it looks like I disappear on random days…that’s why! About 10 years ago I lost 135 pounds. Never made it to goal but just sort of leveled off at ~200 pounds. Over time I gained back nearly 50. Working on getting back at least to my low weight of 200. I would like to eventually make it to 150 where I think I would be comfortable.

    So after a week of taking it easy on the sofa and eating because I am a comfort eater.
    Yesterday was my first day back at work.
    It went well. Think I might start doing excerize next week.
    I advice people to not get hemorrhoids. They are no fun to have and they were no fun to remove.

    So I ate lots of died fruits last week and drank loads of movicol. I know I ate more than I should so Wednesday as usual I stopped tracking. Because I got bored of seeing the numbers. Started again now.

    The dog has her first heat. So she can not be left outside on a string but has to be supervised at all time.

    I hope some of the gain is water weight from painkillers and being stationary.
