It was another beautiful morning for a run. It was 69°F. The moon was lovely as I headed out and had set by the time I turned to head home. And then the sky was getting light as the sun was about to rise. I ran 6 miles. I was feeling a bit tired and sluggish starting out, but after a couple of miles, I settled into it and really enjoyed it.
@daria0919 I'm glad the results were good. Hopefully they'll get everything figured out soon.
@quilteryoyo I'm so glad you took a day for some time for you. You do so much for others.
@SummerSkier We caved and turned our AC on yesterday. It was 87°.

Good morning everyone!
I got in 8km on the treadmill this morning. I was feeling a bit sluggish- who knows why. I am still hoping for a second session during my son's soccer practice.
I'm sorry to hear that some of you have AC hot temperatures already. Today, we finally have a blue sky (it's basically been grey since November), and I celebrated it by going to the gym . But seriously, I am looking forward to it being a bit lighter and not so drab.
218.5/200km for February.7 -
Morning everyone.
Got in 5.65M (at 09"38 pace).
@daria0919 great news RE biopsy
@TheMrWobbly well done on training while working brutal shifts.
I live in between mile markers 10 and 11 on the Marathon route. So will look out for you when you know your number etc!
Who are you running for, again? Do you have a justgiving ?
Have a nice Friday everyone9 -

Good morning all! I got a short run in yesterday morning before we left for the airport. We walked around Savannah and found a delicious Chinese restaurant for dinner. We're staying in an Airbnb in the historic district. It's such a cute little house and so much is within walking distance. The one thing I miss about living in a city is the walkability. And Savannah is such a pretty city for walking.
Feeling so tired because I barely slept last night. I never sleep quite as well the first night in a new place but it was also really hard to get the temperature right in the house. When we got back from dinner it was quite cold so we turned the heater on but it's an old house and a lot of the air rises through the floors to the second floor. So, it got really warm in the bedroom. I turned the heater down but overshot it and it got cold. Also, the street lights outside are super bright and I am used to a very dark bedroom. I'm going to see if I can use towels or something to block out some of the light tonight.
I am supposed to do a short shakeout run today before we go to packet pickup. We'll see. I may count all the walking as my shakeout.8 -
Thanks @kgirlhart . Sounds like a great run, but it sure did get hot there yesterday!
Glad you got some sunshine @Laurz9191 . I hope you got in a second session too. You did great on the treadmill.
Nice run @tarun_yadavA . I will be cool if you can spot @TheMrWobbly .
Glad you got settled in and found a great place to eat @martaindale . I usually have a hard time sleeping in a new place too. I hope you get a better rest tonight. Is your race Sat or Sun?5 -

The mood struck, so I went out exploring. There's a really pretty park in the center of Savannah so I ran there past some lovely historic homes, did some loops around the park and came back. The weather was beautiful and there was hardly any street traffic, which is so weird after living in Houston for so many years.
Race day is tomorrow. I still haven't decided if I'm going to try to actually race it or just enjoy the experience. Chances are I'll end up at least trying then backing off if it's clear I'm not going to make it.
Now to go wake up my husband and get some breakfast.7 -

@martaindale all the best for your race tomorrow! I’m right there with you in needing the bedroom completely dark and the right temperature. Savanah is so beautiful! One of my favorite cities. Did you find Forrest Gump’s bench?
@AlphaHowls it does look like a halo! BTW, how’s Timmy doing? Still hanging in there?
@TheMrWobbly good luck with the Brighton run this weekend!
@quilteryoyo Barry Marshall is a very nice man, was always friendly and very much a family man (3 daughters and a son) and a really nice wife. One of my sons and one of his daughters were very good friends growing up.
I hope the antibiotics are helping! When this possibility for an ulcer cause was found it finally helped my father who suffered with pain and ulcers for years. Such a simple fix, the antibiotics, but until this was discovered, I know my father was often uncomfortable and in pain.
@codygirlfriday welcome!8 -
No running for me since Tuesday as I decided to join the colonoscopy bandwagon and had the prep day and then the procedure yesterday. Off to the AT today for a few days of backpacking and camping.
Welcome @codygirlfriday!
Glad you got good bioposy results @daria0919.
Good luck with the Brighton half @TheMrWobbly and good luck with your half @martaindale!
Have a great weekend everyone!7 -
@martaindale ... Savanah is so beautiful! One of my favorite cities. Did you find Forrest Gump’s bench?
Hadn't thought about Forrest Gump for such a long time. Such a good movie! Looks like it was shot in Chippewa Square, not far from where we are staying, but the bench isn't there. Just a movie prop. Still the park looks lovely so we'll have to check it out!5 -
@martaindale Good luck tomorrow! It looks like you picked a really neat location!
I tried to do my second run as a speed workout, but I was mentally too beat to carry it out to the end. However I still got most of what I was planning done and the splits were ok. I ran 7km. I’m feeling down about bailing mid-workout but I did get a total of 15 km in today, so I’m definitely being too hard on myself.

London, as someone asked: No, I've been there so many times. I have no idea how often, mind. I still do find things that I've not seen before. Not taking about tourist sights but basically just strolling around. This time my theme was Brutalist architecture, plus visiting charity shops for cookbooks.7 -
Bright, sunny, spring-like day today. Great day to be outside.
Yesterday I drove my wife's car to the garage and left it. I have run the route home a couple of times and always enjoy it. The garage is outside of town, then through town and into the residential neighborhoods.

Today was a short run. 3.5 miles. It was a bit cooler than yesterday at 43°F. I still wore shorts and a t-shirt, but I was a little chilly and I wore gloves. The moon was even prettier this morning than it was yesterday. I enjoyed the run. I love when it is dark at the start and light at the end of the run. It is my favorite time of morning to be outside.
Good luck on your race @martaindale! And you too @TheMrWobbly!

Welcome @codygirlfriday!
@AlphaHowls timmy had a good run; it was time
@martaindale just run by feel tomorrow. I'm sure you will get into race mode at some point
7 miles this evening. Pretty warm at 73F, but a stiff northerly 14mph wind helped some.
Planned on a slow easy run to get ready for a long run tomorrow, but that rarely works out. Hoping I can take it easy(er) tomorrow.11 -
Sounds like a fun run this morning @martaindale . Good luck with your race tomorrow. Looking forward to hearing how you do.
Welcome @codygirlfriday . Looks like you are doing great. Glad your injuries are better and you are getting back to running. I count my runs and fast walks - usually greater than 3.5 mph.
Thanks @daria0919 It's nice to hear that he was such a nice, family man. I'm glad it helped your father to not be in pain all the time.
I'm glad you got the colonoscopy @Teresa502 . I hope all was well and look forward to hearing about your hike/camping trip. It's going to be cold again this weekend.
Good luck with your HM too @TheMrWobbly . I don't think I realized it was this weekend.
It sounds like you did great to me @Laurz9191 . We are our own worst critics.
Hang in there @yirara . You are doing great.
Great way to get your run in @emptydog .
Nice run @kgirlhart .

I worked until 4:45 today, in the two year old class room. I'll just say they knew there was a full moon.
I ran a couple of errands afterwards, so didn't get home until 6.
I went out for a walk on the driveway, but added some running in when it started to rain. I finished the mile, but didn't want to get completely soaked. I was fine, as it would rain pretty hard for a couple of minutes, slack off, stop, and repeat.7
