If I'm being honest, well it's the fact that I'm still here.
But I'll get there. Baby steps!19 -

I was able to climb a ladder for the first time in years. My garage ceiling is 10 feet high. I climbed it to put a new LED light in. I had no difficulty with the climb. Normally, my son would do this for me. Today it was me!24

Mine was almost a little embarrassing. My pant almost fell of on the way into work. 😂26

My Dr. cut the dosage on one of my heart meds.34

I flew this week for the first time in a couple of years and did not need my seatbelt extender. I had packed it just in case but I had inches to spare. I definitely got teary!30

3.5 months ago I did bloodwork to try to get onto insurance, and I found out that I was prediabetic and had slightly elevated cholesterol. I lost 10 lbs since then and just redid my bloodwork and everything came back normal! I am quite relieved to have that off my head!25

I ran 5k in less than 30 mins. Super chuffed26

I went for a run this morning. It resulted in some NSVs.
First, I will even now call it a "short" run. Not too long ago I would have just called it a run. I went 3.33 miles. The fact that I can call it short... that's a victory in and of itself. My goal was to get my pace below ten minutes per mile. I kind of crushed that at 9:15 per mile. Wow. Another NSV!
Then there's this: I set three new personal records - fastest 1K, fastest 1 mile, and fastest 5K.
Last one:
I still have the rest of the day to enjoy the weather!

Fit back into one of my old pairs of running shorts. They're tighter than they used to be. But still. They fit.22

Yesterday, I lifted several quite heavy boxes on my own so that my aging father wouldn’t hurt himself by helping. Even though I’ve had bigger and more impressive NSVs, this one is amongst the most rewarding.20

Been increasing my protein and seriously tracking my food. For the last few weeks I've been working with a coach and our plans have been yielding results. Adding weight training back to my program and continuing to habit stack to maximize success. Fewer cravings, feeling fuller longer, more energy, all victories.20

I was doing a 12 metre down-climb on Saturday. There is normally a trickle of water, which became a raging torrent due to recent damp weather. I have always free climbed this; so I decided to again and didn't take a belay option. I went left early on, which got me out of the waterfall. The drawback of this was that about 4 metres away from safety, I ran out of footholds. My glasses had steamed up so I couldn't see very well.
I stayed calm, and headed right back into the waterfall. Lo and behold, there was a big boulder which made the descent easy.
Here is Sue on the climb:

You guys, I went clothes shopping
I haven't bought any new clothes since I started losing weight, because I still had tons of things from before I put on the weight... most of which I'm now wearing, or have already given away because they have become too big again. But I'm starting to find a few tiny gaps in my wardrobe that can't be filled from my stash, so today I went looking specifically for two items:- A plain (not graphic) zip-up hoodie. I own other sweaters that I like, but given the chance I always reach for my one and only zip-up hoodie, which I bought early in my weight loss journey and which is now ridiculously oversized. So it's time to find a new one! No luck, because apparently zip-up hoodies are meant to be for teenagers only? ... or at least that's what the salesperson seemed to think, haha. The quest continues.
- And a pair of shoes I can wear with my skirts. I had to throw out the old ones a while back because they were disintegrating. (I don't wear skirts much, if you couldn't tell.) I wanted a pretty AND comfortable pair of sandals with ankle straps, which apparently is also too much to ask for. So I settled on a pair of ballet flats which otherwise fit the bill (and didn't break the bank).
But the coolest part is that I found two pairs of pants, and two tops, that I just flat-out LOVE. I never get to select clothes that I LOVE... the best thing I can usually hope for is something that sort of fits, and looks acceptable. This stuff I bought looks AWESOME. I'm so excited. Both pairs of pants are slightly too small for me still (I can put them on, but they will look better 5-10 lbs from now)... which is extra incentive to lose more weight. And as luck would have it, a friend just invited me to a get-together one month from now, so I plan to wear my new snazzy clothes then! Hah.24 -

Keep up the amazing progress!6 -
At the beginning of this process, a few years back, I was too big for my XXL pants.
I was down to a comfy size M before I slacked off and stopped weighing myself.
A few months back I noticed that the M was tight and the L was getting a bit tight too. So back to MFP I came.
I did weigh myself at the dr a week ago and yeah. I am definitely up. A number that I won't think about or log.
HOWEVER my size M sweat pants fit now.
So. I decided to order ONE pair of size S, just for fun.
They came today.
They are tight.
BUT I CAN GET THEM ON!!!!
WHOO!16 -
Walking in the beach sand, I noticed that my footprints didn’t sink down as low as everyone else’s. And I wasn’t exhausted from walking in the sand like I usually was.16

I had to lift a thing today that weighs around 35lbs... it was HARD and I was glad I only had to lift & move it a short distance... then I realized that I used to carry twice that much weight on my body 24/7 I guess that's not strictly speaking an NSV, but it was too awesome of a realization to not share!20
