@Skyleen75 I love the reference to the legends Teenage Jeff and Midlife Jeff. But... is 66 still considered midlife? Let's say it is. By the way, I couldn't afford the grocery bill for teenage jeff these days! He was a vacuum.
66 is definitely mid life !!5 -
@_JeffreyD_ when they started recommending Covid shots for the elderly, I looked up the definition of elderly. At that time it was 65. Well that ship sailed for me nine years ago and I don’t feel elderly.7

4/16 134.0 Finally dropped a bit and DH set up dinner date at Golden Corral 🤦♀️🤦♀️ I have a plan since we are going later so friends can get fantail shrimp. I will get salad and steak and see what good veggies they have. I can do this!
OY! This morning has been a mess. The neighbors are not able to take care of themselves and placed us in middle. He called my DH who was out buying plants, to find out how to get an ambulance because his wife “wasn’t making any sense.” Carl called me and I asked him if he had told Bill to call 911. I ended up calling 911 and waiting in the front yard for the ambulance. Bill had fallen about a week ago when he sat down and missed his motorized wheelchair. Carl had to help the wife pull him up.5 -

APRIL 1st SW: 198.2 | EW: 000.0
Since starting ...January 1st - April 1st, I've lost 17 pounds and a total of 20.8 inches from 11 areas. 🥳 Thrilled to see my hard work reversing prediabetes and years of physical damage. Getting leaner and stronger and chair dancing proud of myself about it!! 57 and hormonal, it's taken longer than expected and a much rougher road than my youth.
Reaching onederland (March 13th) meant the end of 10+ years and up to 80 pounds!! gained and relost too many times to count. Determined not to self-sabotage ... have to ask: now what? Weight was my focus so long, I need a new target!! If I should lose an additional 8% body fat to reach the "standard" for my age, height and sex ~ and up to 15% to reach excellent ~ that's @ least another 8-15 months of work before I can begin to relax and think maintenance.
I've been eating @ a 200-400 calorie deficit (90-95% of the time) and Intermittent Fasting 18-22 hrs (75-85%). It's worked well, so trying to take it up a notch by lowering carbs, changing eating window to earlier in the day, breaking fast differently, and continuing to look for new ways to increase step count and add more strength in April.8 -
Hi y'all!
Hope all is well.
This temp consulting work gig is my 1st on-site job in 19 years!
Really hating the commute, stuck in horrible traffic.
(yes, woe is me).
Let's see if I can commit for all 10 days (slacker me).
I have 5weeks until the fundraising gala; would like to de-bloat a few pounds.

@_JeffreyD_ If 40 is the new 20, then definitely 60 is the new 40, which means several of us here are still in "midlife!" I picked out my Medicare Advantage Plan yesterday and meet with Social Security Administration Thursday to get all that finalized. Who'd have EVER thought this day would come! I don't feel like an OAP ( I don't remember what someone in this group said that really stands for, but in my mind, it's "Old A(donkey) Person". So I'm great with calling this "midlife!"

4/16 178.0 That was a pretty good drop since yesterday, so I won’t be surprised with a bounce tomorrow, if there is one. Had a great walk in the neighborhood last night. The weather has been picture perfect the last few days! Food has been on track now for quite some time. I’m craving protein at night recently but so far I am resisting once I’m done for the day. I’m happy with the macro levels I am currently achieving. We are moving Dad into Assisted Living next Wednesday, so I'm having trouble shutting my brain down at night. Only getting about 5 hours of sleep these days and that's after I get up and finally take a nerve pill. I know Assisted Living's the right thing to do, and he seems to be ok with it, but I just worry.

🎷 66 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 257 (my 187th). So grateful @Quiltingjaine for another round.
Goals for this round; to lose! To be consistent and lose something. I start this round a year older (hopefully wiser ?) Officially an OAP! How can that be I can’t possibly be that old – I feel much much younger 😊.
Good luck everyone for a successful round.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

If I hadn’t had that 2 day binge mid round then what could it have been ? Must have a “clean” round next, maybe being a year older will make me a year wiser?
SW RND 257 140.6
4/16 140.6 – (trend 141.2) a nice number to start my birthday, hoping to hold on to/improve it by being consistent this round. 9.43 miles walked, just less than 20% exercise calories eaten back.
4/17 140.6 – (trend 141.1) Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes, had a wonderful day. DH brought me a coffee in bed, got up to open my pressies & cards, then he went off to work. Relaxing manicure and went on to meet sisters for lunch, then a garden centre; bought plants! Kept under calories until DH surprised me with a birthday cake in the evening, only had small piece and weighed it, took me over by 122. 7.48 miles walked.

@Musicsax Happy Birthday to you! Have a wonderful day and year! What I find most confusing is how I possibly have children aged 37 and 33. Does not make sense to me because I can't possibly be THAT old......
Know exactly what you mean, my oldest turned 40!!! in January -- I say 40 !!! How did that happen? seems like not that many years since she was born, now she has a 6 & 4 year old herself. Time is inexplicable !!!4 -
@deepwoodslady - thinking of you and willing the report to be good, you deserve some good news, sending hugs3
