Round 259
May 6 - 15, 2024
Please join us starting on 5/6 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 259.
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
If you feel your post is too lengthy, you can add spoilers to temporarily hide the information. It is readily available by tapping the SPOILER bar. To create a Spoiler just type or copy [ Spoiler ] xxx [ /Spoiler ] Omit the spaces within the brackets and put your information where I have xxx

Need to sort out my nutrition. Weight is good enough, but could work on healthy choices.
Other acronyms that popped up a couple rounds ago were:
DP - darling partner
BLT (or B-L-T) - Bites, Licks and Tastes
You got the OAP that was also in that round2 -
@SModa61 they are on the list but for some reason the spacing is wrong and BLT joined the entry before2

5/06 183.6 I did get the pantry cleaned out and DH did not complain at all. He is really on track. Me, on the other hand ate an entire package of Pepperidge Farms cookies I found 🤦🏼♀️
Geez I need to keep my eyes on my own paper and stop worrying about what he’s doing. Focus on the crap I’ve been “shoveling into my pie hole”.
Stayed up late to finish an important project and only got 4hrs of sleep so today will be interesting…

Life has thrown me a lot of caloric laden lemons lately. Not done yet making lemonade but hope the major stressor will be resolved soon. Weight has crept up and despite know what works for me, counting calories and tracking I have been resistant. I am hoping over the next 10 days- except when I travel for conference this week - I will reinstate my habits of weighing and tracking my food.
5/6: 123.6-Surprised after playing in a pickleball tournament yesterday, I usually burn so many calories and think I can eat what I want, obviously not true.

Round 259
May 6 - 15, 2024
62 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
GW Maintaining between 124 - 126
Continuing to figure out maintaining, and to work on best nutrition and exercise.
History:Harry and Han are our cats, who travel with us. Have two “kids”, who are very much adults, a two grandsons. We have two parents, 87(mother), 85(MIL) still with us, and I have logically been needing to help them more as they age. I got my act in gear during COVID, somewhat inspired by NOT becoming my parents. I lost 30 lbs and was exercising daily. Unfortunately, I am an “all in or not” person. Hubby and I seeing our family home and downsizing distractions, plus medical incident with my father and all their new needs, became an excuse (father has since passed and I am DPOA, Personal representative AKA executor, trustee, and oversee the majority of my mother’s care). A year and a half later, I gained 25 lbs and lost all my athletic improvements. I need to figure out balance and how to make health be a daily priority for life!

5/6 167.5 Starting out the round with a loss. Yayy! Without going into too much detail, I think what has helped me the past several days is I've actually been able to go to the bathroom like normal. The only thing that I have changed is I've been eating watermelon for a snack. A ripe watermelon is my absolute favorite. I think it's helping my body get rid of some stuff it's been holding on to lol.

Good start to the round. Yesterday I stayed within calories, hit my macro goals, and didn’t snack. Yay! Having my usual brunch out with a friend but I have a plan in place and will keep my calories, fat, and sugar within bounds while she enjoys her huge combo breakfast. 😊

Day, Weight, Comment
05/06 - 150.1 - I went over my macros the last 2 days. Saturday was due to going out to eat and there being no friendly/balanced options at all (besides skipping the meal altogether). Yesterday was simply me being bored and not thinking about logging until AFTER I ate. Oops. Back on track today due to having routine back. We meal prepped lunch and dinner for the week so I have those logged already, along with my breakfast. I'm a bit short right now for protein and carbs but I have room for one more snack. I'm over 9g on fat already (breakfast, lunch, dinner) but I didn't look at where I was with lunch/dinner prep before making and eating breakfast. Oops! Luckily my Coach has me staying within 10g of goal so as long as I don't have more fat for my snack, I'll be good. I'm sore today still from Friday's workout. Despite that, I increased my hack squat weight. I was a rough workout, but I'm super proud of how hard I was able to push, even through the DOMS. Hopefully I can actually be around this whole round before I have to travel again

SW ROUND 259: 177.4
5/6 176.4 Upping the calories by eating more protein seems to be working pretty well so far. Down 15 lbs. since I started on March 2.
Congrats to you!! 15 lbs since March is amazing. I agree that adding protein really does help. I went through a few weeks without really a loss at all. As soon as I added more protein, I started losing again. I was always afraid the extra protein would make me gain.7
