I love the " deferred joys..." quote. I am purchasing a needlepoint project after 14 days of consecutively exercising an hour and a 1/2 every day. 10 days down, 4 to go.

So this is crazy and probably TMI but I'm 58 and have never missed a period since age 13, except when I was pregnant. Yes, that is unusual, my drs are always shocked. So every month I still have temporary weight increases due to premenstrual water retention...I'm up this week but pretty sure it's water retention that will go down next week.

Not defeated. It's just one week. Keep sticking to the program. This takes time. Don't let one day's number on the scale make you think you're defeated. Nope. You're just a work in progress.

@mtaratoot It’s actually been all of April and this week. I’ve gone completely backwards. I’m not even sure why I keep trying. So stressed and broken right now. But thank you for the words of encouragement.

Keep sticking to it. It's the best option. It really, really is. We all go through this from time to time, and it won't be your last time. If you give up, I can give you a few guesses about what will happen. I bet you a bagel (or just a half bagel) you won't be happy about it.

Trust the process. Stick to it. Be patient. They say it's virtuous. I'm not very virtuous in my life, so I'll take any I can get.

    STICK TO IT!

@mtaratoot Again, thank you. I am working on it as discouraged as I am. I sat hubby down this morning and have worked a reward system. But he again gave me the β€œif I remember” clause. He is supportive for about a minute (as long as his attention span πŸ™„). There are so many stress-inducing things happening in our family right now, and as always my health takes a backseat which increases my stress even more. I will continue trying, β€œNunc coepi” (now I begin… again and again and again).
