If you have Samsung Pay or similar can't you cut that down to phone and keys?0 -
Would you believe I did that on a business trip once? Would you trust only Samsung pay etc though?0
-
Aren't I one of those dinosaurs who still uses cash?
But don't I also see many people who solely use cards and who always use their phone, not a physical card?1 -
If I don’t bring my wallet, where would I have put my passport? 😅 Wasn’t the computer a good call since I am working for most of it?0
-
Passport? Were we talking international travel?0
-
Even for domestic travel, wouldn't you want your wallet to carry your identification for check in at the airport? And your credit card (along with ID) at the hotel?0
-
And for the wine tasting!? Isn't it silly that, here, I'm still asked to show my ID to buy alcohol when I have mostly grey hair?0
-
Didn't my luggage fly on more planes than I did on this last trip?Wasn't it no surprise to me that it finally arrived with a puncture and missing one set of double wheels?

Or if you have a car that talks to your phone, can't you cut that down to just your phone?paperpudding wrote: »AdahPotatah2024 wrote: »Aren't your phone, keys, and wallet really the only things you shouldn't forget to take with you?

But in any case, don't I always have to remember my glasses?

Speaking of travel, when I'm going anywhere for more than a day, don't I always take not only my wallet (with RealID license, key card, credit cards and cash), glasses, phone and watch, but also phone charger, watch charger (custom cable), USB power bank, cables, possibly my Paperwhite and/or tablet and/or laptop with charger, and then, as an afterthought, maybe some clothes and toiletries too? 😂Even for domestic travel, wouldn't you want your wallet to carry your identification for check in at the airport? And your credit card (along with ID) at the hotel?

And @srazamora wondered if I was the Boy Scout based upon amount of stuff I kept with me in my lunch box? 🤣1
-
Isn't it crazy how it ends up being 2 suitcases after packing only the essentials???1
-
Isn't that statement even more crazy considering I can pack for a week of camping using only a single backpack?1
-

😂 @nossmf , do you recognize @frankwbrown as a fellow Boy Scout after that comment?

Over the years, haven't I been able to pare down to one suitcase and still include everything on @frankwbrown 's list (with the exception of the watch charger)?0

How do you charge your watch? 🤔Over the years, haven't I been able to pare down to one suitcase and still include everything on @frankwbrown 's list (with the exception of the watch charger)?

Aren't I perhaps a little overly cautious, given that my watch has enough power to last more than 2 weeks?
How do you charge your watch? 🤔Over the years, haven't I been able to pare down to one suitcase and still include everything on @frankwbrown 's list (with the exception of the watch charger)?1 -
Why not use a watch with a battery that lasts 10 years, like the one I have?1
-
What happened to the response I typed up earlier? 🤔

Didn't I say, "have you considered that when I do wear a watch, it might ne of the non-charging variety"?1 -
couldn't you avoid need for watch charger if you get a solar powered watch?1
-
or, like me, a plain old battery operated one - doesn't the battery on them last about 2 years?1
-
Why would I want a watch like that when my Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar keeps the time, has multiple alarms, tracks my swimming, walking, running, cycling, strength training, yoga, tai chi and more, plus acts as a credit card, plays music, talks to my phone, monitors my health, has GPS/maps, a compass, altimeter, barometer, LED flashlight, touchscreen, a water rating of 10 ATM, and who knows what else? Why not use a watch with a battery that lasts 10 years, like the one I have?
(BTW, in Smart Watch mode, isn't my watch supposed to last ~37 days?)

Doesn't my watch have a solar panel in it, and wouldn't that suffice if I were to use it solely for keeping time? But don't I like many of the other power-consuming features too much to not use them?paperpudding wrote: »couldn't you avoid need for watch charger if you get a solar powered watch?

Am I the only one who has a plain analogue watch that just tells the time?0
-
If we didn't have our watches, how else could we alert someone that they're taking too long without being rude!?0
