so I'm listening to the radio and some chick is going on about the "top 10 movie quotes to impress men".

Every worthless chick magazine has articles like "how to snag that dude" or "how to make him fall in love with you"


It's kind of silly I think, wouldn't you prefer to have somebody be who they are?
I think when you misrepresent yourself it's a bit of "bait and switch"


Gosh I love football, who's playing this weekend! --tee hee hee

    I have NEVER changed myself just to secure a boyfriend. I can't stand it when women 'dumb it down' when a bloke comes on the scene!

    However, I am a MASSIVE relationship retard and almost constantly single, so what do I know!? :laugh:

    I'd just rather find someone who likes me for me rather than try to be someone I'm not, just to be in a relationship!

    You are absolutely right. Nothing turns a guy( I would think a woman as well) away more that getting lied to by a "fake personality" It can destroy any love that has developed. We all put on our best face when dating, but that is different. I am so glad I am married! I hate "dating".
    Don't hide who you are. It makes you look psychotic when you begin to show who you really are, and you will eventually show it!

    YES! i hatttee thisssss...i feel like i've been lied to the whole time, which technically i have been and this has happened in my last 2 relationships...

    i assume you're taking Va Tech over Clemson?

    it's at home on a Saturday night.
    Clemson hasn't beat us since 1989

    Clemson beat an Auburn team that should have been 0-2 at the time
    Clemson beat a FSU still wounded from playing one of the top teams in the nation

    That said, Clemson probably wins in a close one.

    wow, was pretty sure you'd think Va Tech had it in the bag. Blacksburg is a tough place to play and i beleive the forecast calls for rain. Vegas has the Hokies a 7ish pt favorite depending on where you look

    I love my Hokies, but we've had way too close of games that should have been "gimmes". I'm not sold on Logan Thomas and our defense still gives up far too many big plays for my liking.
    Not to mention we went from last season being one of the least penalized teams, to seemingly forgetting the rules.
    I'll never be a blind homer. I try to be objective.


    That said rain usually works to our advantage. I'm hopeful, but won't be surpised it's a game we just can't handle. :(

    Im rather quiet in real life (perfect roommate right here haha xD), but I am almost mute when I like someone *sigh*...

    I agree with the others that this is bad. u_u It is a misrepresentation u_u

    TBH though, I have applied certain things I have read to my discipline xD For instance, tilt your head to the side (to seem shorter/younger) and expose your neck (to seem in need of protection). Shake head lightly to add movement to hair (to seem young), and blink a lot (I think this dilates the pupils). XD I do all of that, and it can work quite well. Also, eye contact etc.

    But things such as, "My name is ____, I am ____ years old and my hobbies are ______" Stuff like that...if its fake, OMFG! haha...you are a liar....not a snagger XD

    I've seen people do this and even carry out their charade until they're married. After a few years, it's hard to keep being someone you aren't and that's how marriages fail.

    This has part to do with my first marriage not working.

    The thing is often people WANT to belive all these falsities.

    ah this.... this is what happened with most of my friends marriages sadly.

    I am who I am. Take it or leave it. I wont dumb down or fake for anyone. Im not going to pretend to know everything about your fav sport or topic but I will make attempts if I like you to get to know it. People who memorize movie quotes or sports stats before dates are lame and you can ALWAYS tell.

    What about the chicks who "become" who they're dating??? Say they're dating a cowboy, and they suddenly start wearing Wranglers, boots, and hats? Or they're dating a preppy, so they'll start wearing Polo shirts, Lucky Jeans, and Cole Hahn loafers? Just be yourself and your relationship will be better off because of it.
