Please be careful: That's a category where quite a few people make claims, but not all of them have serious education, certifications, or other solid credentials. A registered dietitian would be ideal, at least as that term is defined in the US. In some places, "coaches" or "nutritionists" don't need any specific qualifications at all to advertise that title.4

I'd say this forum is a good "nutrition coach." So is the FOOD diary.
Log your food, study your FOOD diary, research online for macros/micros and healthier foods. Try to cut back on ultra-processed foods and sweets. Add in more whole fruit and vegetables.
It's a process that is 100% accessible online and FREE for anyone.6 -
I am following. I am also considering a dietician or nutritionist to help me. However, I have found a lot of influencers use that description and many seem to be selling products for an MLM in addition to their services. I don't feel particularly trusting so I'm using this app to track and cut back on sugars and start moving more.6

Yes. Yes. Yes. 100%.
This diet/nutrition-consultation space is packed with poorly-credentialed people who market heavily (mostly selling unnecessary junk) . . . and thinly populated with credentialed, educated, qualified people who are unfortunately hard to find.
If the influencer/marketer class can convince us that decent nutrition is hard, that we need their magical supplements, diet plans, and that sort of thing . . . they make money.
Personally, I feel that the basics of good nutrition for reasonably healthy people aren't that complicated. (They're within our grasp as average semi-intelligent people). Some people have health conditions that require specialist help (from registered dietitians, ideally!). Most people can make huge improvements by learning and practicing the basics.
There's a very human tendency to want the magic easy solution, but there's much benefit to be had from simply learning and doing basic, sensible things. I'm talking mostly whole or lightly-processed foods, adequate protein, adequate healthy fats, and a good mix of varied, colorful veggies and fruits for fiber and micronutrients . . . maybe add some probiotic foods for bonus points.
Just my non-specialist, non-educated opinion, though.6 -

Totally Agree, I do trust my dietician (who doesn't lift, but has the expertise about nutrition) and Megsquat (who is a lifter, an influencer AND studied to get her licence as a nutrion coach).
BUT STILL, I try to educate and know my own body and my bodies needs first. Do my own research. I know my body the best. Listen to it, educate yourself and DO NOT OBSESS. I had to take a break from tracking. I noticed my body felt exhausted. from not eating enough to over 2000 calories, 150 grams protein a day, isn't healthy either. 1 step at a time. Lot's of love and hugs to all of you.
