@enlightenme3 is still traveling, so I'm posting this month's challenge on their behalf.
@enlightenme3 would normally say, "😀 Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. 😀"
@enlightenme3 joined back in September of 2021, which was their first month back on MFP. In the first 9 months, @enlightenme3 lost 40 pounds and uses this challenge as motivation to stay on track. It is nice to have a medium-term goal that gets broken down into manageable chunks.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress better😀
Pick whatever unit suits you -- pounds, kilograms, stones, or even Newtons.

I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out.

10/06-193.8-(Trend Weight: 193.8)- I really expected the weight to have shown more than a 0.2 increase after yesterday’s food and snack filled outing. I can only attribute it to the fact that I was up all night shedding water for no apparent reason. It was totally inconvenient considering our power was out from about 11:30 pm until 4:00 am during which time I couldn’t sleep due to not having my C-pap machine on or my fan. Tired today since the cat had NO PROBLEM sleeping during the outage and woke me up earlier than I would have liked for her morning treat. Since the contractor wakes me up early everyday Mon-Fri, I will look forward to sleep next Friday night and Sat morn IF my DGS lets me. He did NOT this week! Ugh. Isn’t sleep supposed to be good for weight loss? UGH…I feel like I’m fighting a losing battle. I’ll just have to focus on the fact that I deserved more weight gain and caught a rare break on that front.

It's not a losing battle, and maybe this week should be fuchsia. Why? Because the SMALL (de minimis) gain was a lot less than expected.

Not a loss, but not a gain. I’ll take it. I’ve been walking almost every day. Wednesdays I end up skipping the walk because my legs are just tired, but I’m thinking of adding some weight training on Wednesday to break it up and see if it helps with the leg fatigue.
I haven’t been logging my calories which is probably the reason for not having a loss. So, I need to get back into the habit. I’ll never make it to the 170s this month or to the 160s by Christmas if I don’t do it!
