My name is Donna. I am 64 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

    Start Weight (from Sept 30th ): 193.6

Goal Weight: 189.6 (4 pound loss)

End of Challenge Final Weight: xxxxx

    Weight lost/gained this month: xxxxx

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

    10/01-193.6-(Trend Weight: 193.8)-

    10/06-193.8-(Trend Weight: 193.8)-

10/13-192.2-(Trend Weight: 193.2)-I am up almost a full pound overnight for no apparent reason except stress. I’ve had a very difficult weekend with my daughter who stays with me 4 days per week for work reasons. Perhaps a hormonal change within me due to the STRESS has caused the scale to tip? Eating-wise, it was an excellent on-plan day. I am happy that I am down from last week however. Progress is being made. I just need to stick to plan, drink more water and definitely MOVE MORE. I’ve gotten a bit slack with exercise. I am Definitely encouraged and inspired by all the great progress you all have made this week! Congratulations!

10/20-191.0-(Trend Weight: 192.6)- I managed to get below last week’s weight but got there in a twisty-turny way using some good tools (with a few bad choices along the way too). Most of the time I just make things harder than they have to be and spend much of my time playing catch-up with my diet. It is becoming more of a lifestyle than a weight loss journey but so many mistakes are still being made. So much more room for improvement. I’m still such a work in progress but I’m determined and dedicated so that is definitely a foot up in this journey. Today I’ll bask in the glow of the loss and keep working on improving not just my weight, but my methods.

My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out.

Total loss for October: Wowzers. My average mass calculation says I lost four pounds this week alone. Holy ringtails! Eight pounds this month. Wow. My scale weight has been in my ideal maintenance range for two days now, and the ten-day average is catching right up. I am right about smack dab in the middle of my absolute maintenance range, and that feels so much better than being up over the top. I am down 6.0 pounds for the year. Yes, that means I gained from the beginning of the year before the beginning of October.

    Stick to it!

10/27-191.6-(Trend Weight: 192.1)-It was a rough week where a little travel and a lot of cravings got the best of me. Having the Halloween stuff in the house has only highlighted to me that my willpower is still weak and I have lots of work to do. In fact, it’s pretty clear to me that I only do well when the tempting food is not around me. Clearly I haven’t learned to make good choices yet when choices are before me. Yea, I’m pretty great if I’m in an empty room with no food. Otherwise, not so much! This is a long….long….long journey and I’ve got a lot to learn still yet. I’m still ready to get there! Upside….trend weight is still coming down even if it’s likely due to my erratic week. I am still nicely below my October starting weight so, for that, I am grateful. I will be traveling later this afternoon until tonight and dinner will be out so I expect a bit of a temporary setback tomorrow morning on the scale. However, there will be 3 more weigh-ins after that and I hope to have good days and maintain or even improve my progress. Wow this is tough!

I just couldn’t pull it together the past few weeks. Besides forgetting to weigh-in on the weigh-in days, I didn’t log calories or exercise like I should. I spent this past week really focused on getting my walk everyday that I could and entering my calories. Once I got back to logging, I was able to stay on target calorie wise. I was really hoping for a better number this week, but I’m still showing a gain. I guess it still wasn’t enough. I guess we’ll see what Thursday’s weigh-in says.
