@enlightenme3 is still traveling, so I'm posting this month's challenge on their behalf.
😀 Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. 😀
I joined MFP in February 2018. I had been trying on and off to lose some extra weight. MFP gave me the tools I needed to lose 30 pounds, and I have tried to keep it off since then. I've mostly been successful, but there for sure have been times when I slid back. Only continued vigilance will work to be successful, and fortunately that's possible! It can be nice to have short- and medium-term goal to break down a larger goal into more manageable chunks. So a monthly challenge with a weekly check-in is GREAT. I've been contributing to this challenge for several years, and with @enlightenme3 temporarily away, I'll try to keep it running.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress better😀. I'm setting this month up for Saturday check-in. Do what works best for YOU.
Pick whatever unit suits you -- pounds, kilograms, stones, or even Newtons.
Feel free to copy & paste the chart:
November Start Weight:
November Goal Weight:
November Goal Weight:
November 2:
November 9:
November 16:
November 23:
November 30:
For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:
When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.
It’s not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!😀
Best of luck to everyone - have fun! 😀😀

11/01-190.6-(Trend Weight: 192.1)- I was able to weigh in after all though this is typically a no-weigh Friday. There is no school today for my DGS so I was able to hop on the scale at around my normal time. I’m shocked to see the scale did not go up. My meals were good yesterday but then I got into my DGS’s Halloween bag and had two fistfuls of candy bar minis / m&m’s. I give away small bottles of Sunny D and Capri Sun drink pouches (no red dyes in either) so there was no candy temptation here UNTIL he came in with a bunch of candy that he’s smart enough to ration even at age 6. I could learn a lot! Anyway, God was Good and I was blessed with the exact same weight as yesterday and a trend weight that went down. Good luck to all, let's make it a good month!

@2GoAwayPounds The wonderful thing about MFP is that we are completely anonymous. No one to answer to at the gym, the doctor's off, WW or TOPS. That allows us to be completely honest about our weight, or dietary choices, our exercise (or lack of), our struggles, our challenges with everything from family gatherings to mental health as it all affects our journeys. With this challenge you can be your real authentic self and I think that is part of the keys to success! Welcome. I am so glad you are here!

Especially if I’m naughty. However, dipping my toes in the 180 pond sure feels good right now. I did not end up going out of town yesterday. That helped. Today is my foodie daughters 30th birthday. I couldn’t agree with this more! I love being accountable here.
One of the things I’ve learned since starting to do these challenges every month is my excuses don’t matter in my weight loss journey. Excuses are just the things I tell myself to try to make it ok that I didn’t do what I needed to do. In the end, I am the only reason for not obtaining my goals.
MFP and these challenges have provided me with a place to just hold myself accountable, to figure out what works and what doesn’t towards achieving my goals, and even just get a “cheer up” when things aren’t going well. And because we are all working towards like goals, we have the opportunity to be supportive and sympathize with each other. Welcome to the challenge @2GoAwayPounds! You can do it!2 -

Hi - I’m Karen and new to this group. I’m 55 and live in OH. I used MFP back in 2019 and lost 40+ pounds on a low carb/keto plan. I have unfortunately gained it all back and then some. Total loss for November: I did very well in October; I lost nine pounds. I'm not off to a very good November. I'm up 2.5 pounds in just this one week! I can't waste my October effort, so I better stop this rebound right away. Let's see if I can. At least I can still say I'm in my absolute maintenance range, but I'm drifting up away from my ideal range. Grrrr. I can also say that I am down 4.5 pounds for the year even with this week's gain, so I guess I will....
Stick to it!2 -
Hi, I am also new to the group. I am hoping to get to around 160 by the end of this month, then hopefully about 156ish just before Christmas. I struggle with depression, and I let it get the best of me the past while. Im ready this month to push myself and shed some of my extra pounds!
