Iron - Micronutrient Goals clarification

What is the daily value for Iron used for Micronutrient Goals?

In the 'My Home > Goals' page Micronutrient Goals section the threshold option is changed based on a percentage of daily value.

Due to differences in Iron recommendations for what would appropriate for men and women, and real risks associated with too-much iron consumption, I would like to better narrow in this field. MyFitnessPal always suggests I'm coming up short in this category, however sources such as the Institute for Medicine recommends men limit their consumption to no more than 45 milligrams of iron daily.

By assessing the daily value for Iron being used on the Goals page I hope to better rune-in any supplement usage (if any) that may be appropriate.
