    ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND 192.2

    10/23 -192.0- (Trend weight -192.4-)

    10/24 -191.0- (Trend weight -192.3-)

10/25 -DNW- (Trend weight -DNW-) Today is my no-weigh Friday due to my extra early schedule and my special once-per-week with water medication. I woke up extra tired today and probably would have given a couple of my teeth to crawl back into bed but I guess it is what it is. My contractor will be here in just a bit. So here I am to support you all and wish you a wonderful Friday and a great weekend. @tiabirdie56 Missing You!

10/26 -191.6- (Trend weight -192.1-) I just realized (it just dawned on me) that I usually do well at home because I don’t usually keep anything tempting or off-plan in the house. Not because I choose to make good choices or I practice good portion control when I have treats. This is very likely why I always gain when I am out of my “safe zone” and in restaurants or other social situations. I can already see that maintenance would be a disaster, if I ever even get there. I’m not trying to be gloomy or pitiful. Just honest. It’s always a challenge on weekends when my daughter is here but this weekend was a little worse with Real Junk such as Halloween (orange centered) Oreos and such. Honestly, I can’t expect that others around me like my DS or DGS or DD never get treats or holiday festive foods just because I’m on a diet, or even because I am a diabetic. I’ve truly got to learn self-control and how to make good choices for Me, no matter what everyone else is having. I haven’t even COME CLOSE to learning any of that yet. I really had a moment of clarity this morning on this. It doesn’t make things easier in knowing this, in fact, it may even make things worse as it is not up to me to deny anyone around me anything. That includes my 100 lb soaking wet daughter who knows how to take one mini Reeces and then stop. It’s not anyone else’s fault I eat them by the handfuls if I’m going to eat them at all. Not their fault I haven’t learned self-control even at the age of 64! I’ve got such a long long road ahead but I hope to approach it with a different attitude going forward. I am going to start researching on how to look at food differently etc. It really does all start and end with me and should have nothing to do with what is going on around me! ANYONE can eat less if they are in a room with no food! I can do better!

Oh dear - started well and then had a meal provided for me and that had a bad result and sent me off the wagon! I wasn’t going to carry on, and have completely blown it since but when I saw some members have put DNW I thought I would try and carry on. Obviously this set of 10 days will not end on success but hopefully I can end on the same as my starting weight 😩

@SModa61 - happy birthday! Hope you had an awesome good day

@judefit1 - so glad to hear your granddaughter is looking good. It must be hard for her and SIL to have to be away from home so much.

@Blueberries59 - thank you sharing your pancake recipe. I buy bananas every week but never eat them all (I always assume someone in my family will have a few, but then they never do). There are only so many banana bread muffins I can make. Glad to find another use for the old bananas I always seem to have

    Round 276

    SW - 145.9

10/23 - 146.6 - Despite essentially being stuck in bed with covid, I ventured out today to watch my 17 y/o daughter run the last Cross Country race of her high school career. She has been plagued with health issues for the past year and has had an extremely disappointing season. She has been a varsity runner since she was in 7th grade. Last year she was the fastest girl on the team and the only one to qualify for the State meet at the end of the season. She had her sights set on running for a college team after she graduated. This year, her senior year, she did not make the varsity cut. Over the past year, her health has made training nearly impossible and she no longer has the strength or speed to keep up. It is not her fault, but so disappointing, frustrating, and embarrassing for her. To make matters more complicated, her younger sister is a freshman this year, and DID make the varsity team. It’s tough being the mom of both girls - one who is having a disappointing and dream-crushing season and one who is coming in strong and having an amazing first year. Today was the last race for the non-varsity runners - and even though I probably should not have gone - I wanted to be there for her. If she were on the varsity team, she would be running in the regional finals in two days, but instead of wallowing in self-pity she decided to run hard this one last time and finish her year strong. I am beyond proud of her overcoming her pride and disappointment and enjoying this race and the moment she was in. She rallied all the JV girls - led them through their warm-up, laughed with them, encouraged them and then lined up at the starting line and then she ran her heart out. She pulled ahead early - and never looked back. She finished first (out of 120 girls) with a time of 22:16 and a good 30 second gap before the next girl crossed the finish line. It was not the 19:23 she was running last year - but she persevered through the season and never backed down. She never gave up and ran her best effort every time she toed the line. I am so proud of her and I just wanted to share that with someone 🙂.

10/24 - 146.9 - nothing of interest to note today. Still home with Covid and working remotely. Finally feeling a little more human - went out at lunch for a walk to be in the sunshine and beautiful fall weather. Tried to pick up the pace a bit and my lungs got angry with me - hopefully they will feel less irritated tomorrow.

10/25 - 147.7 - going the wrong way - but not by much and I’m hoping once I can get up and moving again things will stabilize.

10/26 - 148.5 - so much the wrong direction 😕. Finally tested negative and went out for mexican (DH's idea) to celebrate. It was VERY salty and i didnt drink enough water. Hoping to see it go back down tomorrow - although im not drinking enough water today either so it might be still another day before i see a change in the right direction.
