Happy November 1st everyone! I have only recommitted to buckle down in the last 10 days and things are off to a good start.

I was a fan of WW for many, many years but switched to MFP a couple years ago and like the supportive threads and tracking modules in the premium membership.

I shopped yesterday for fresh vegetables and lighter calorie choices for breakfast (eggs, and Greek yogurt and berries). Also found a Flat Out wrap I’ll try this weekend with turkey or veggies. Some do say it’s the wrong time to try to lose weight but I have been able to lose and/or at least maintain during the holidays by having a good plan.

Nov 1: Fast : 12hrs - Workout - Legs / body weight *mom in hospital*
    Oct 31: πŸš‚πŸ₯Š 〽️ Fast: 12hrs - Workout: Millionare Hoy.

    πŸš‚Tracking my meals
πŸ₯Š Hitting Protein goal of 100+
    〽️ Staying under 1700 calories

November Goals: The first few days, I will start to do a 12:12 Intermittent fasting - which may go to a shorter window - I want to see if it helps me.

    πŸš‚Tracking my meals
πŸ₯Š Hitting Protein goal of 100+
    〽️ Staying under 1700 calories

    Ultimate goal: down 4#
Short term goal: To choose more a nutrient dense foods and less UPF's
and to DO IT because it brings me so much more JOY than I could ever imagine.

I absolutely do hate the guilt, shame and regret from making bad food choices. I want to use november to REMEMBER how less nutrient dense foods (Ultra Processed Foods, aka UPFs) makes me feel emotionally spent and physically spent.

In Oct. I was able to meet my Calorie goal and stay UNDER 66% of the time. I had 10 days where I was OVER. For November, I am setting the goal to be 71% of the time. (I'm just pulling a number out of the hat.)

So great to see some new names! Welcome to the group, @kkanipes and @capewrathultra! Wishing you both success as you move forward on this journey.

@kkanipes I think it's a great time to start. Logging calories, and being mindful of food choices when there's a lot of extra snacks, goodies and holiday meals, will help start off the new year right! ✨You've got this!

    Hi
I would like to join this thread. I’m trying a new approach of not tracking my food and just eating whole food to 70 per cent fullness. Trying to limit ultra processed food. Im reluctant to set a number goal as I only want to lose 10 pounds and as I am not tracking calories and only have a bit to lose, it might take a while for me to figure this out. So maybe this months goal
Is just to see a lower number. It also might take me a few weeks to get into posting. I don’t post a lot on mfp.

Reason for not tracking is I find it annoying and don’t want to do it for the rest of my life.

138 today. I’m away from home tonight so can’t weigh tomorrow.

Welcome to the group, @cupcakesandproteinshakes. Feel free to do this however you want to. You set the goal, and you approach it however is best for you. We're just here to share our progress and support each other. Welcome!

We will go to the bakery today - 1 day a week, that is my treat for not eating the bad stuff all week. So I expect an uptick tomorrow or Monday, depending upon how those calories land on the scale. I did two miles on the treadmill yesterday. I'm going to try to keep getting in 2 miles, and go from there.

Nice to see new names on here and hello again to the October folks who are back for another round.
I tend to lose about 2 lbs per month which is so slow but at least it’s reliable and manageable with my lifestyle.
My weight is up due to a gargantuan work event I’ve led over the last four days and I’m ok with that. Excited to have a much calmer month ahead.

Saturday check-in: mindful I did not have any sugar yesterday. Packed up my Halloween decor, leftover candy and finished putting up my fall decorations. It’s going to be a little slower month for me (thankfully) which means more time time plan healthier meals and get to the gym or walking outdoors.

I reviewed my weekly calorie/macro tracking from this week and see I went over my 1200 calories 5 out of 7 days (again).
This week I will focus on pre planning better and no snacking after dinner.

I have a total of about 30 lbs to lose. Already lost 10, but my weight loss has stalled for the past month. My goal for November is to get the scale moving down again. I'll be walking a lot this week so hoping that will help.

So stinking sick at the beginning of this month! Came down with it Halloween night. Stayed in bed all weekend. Back at it today though!

While sick I saw this fun idea on TikTok (what else is there to do while in bed?) she called it Project 120. Kind of like 75 hard or whatever but more realistic. I think I might try it this week and report back.

    Any thoughts?kdo37m3in58p.jpeg

Have been with MFP for what feels like 20 years and looking for a more active group to join.

Highest weight 205 (2015 post chemo)
    Lowest weight 162 (2002)
    Current weight 172

My ideal goal is 150 but honestly I'd be happy with 160.
