I also just completed week one. I find it hard to eat and drink but I made sure to eat protein and push water even when I didn't want it.3

I’ve been taking it for 8 weeks. I’ve lost about 10 pounds but have stalled for the past week or two. Not sure what caused the stall. I felt hungrier than usual. I was getting over the flu so maybe my body needed the nourishment. I think I’m back on track again.
I find focusing on protein and fibre really helpful. If I eat processed foods I’m hungry all the time so I try to make home cooked meals. Eggs and veggies ( zucchini, mushrooms, peppers) and toast for breakfast. Chicken and brown rice and broccoli for lunch. Tofu and noodles and cabbage for dinner are examples of what I eat.
Examples of food that doesn’t work for me is pizza, Kraft dinner, frozen dinners, ritz crackers!!
I’m rooting for you too!!!4 -
I am just finishing my 8th week, and I am down 14 lbs. I have focused on a calorie deficit (1200) and protein, fiber and water! I have had a few weeks where the scale didn't budge, and those weeks I didn't focus on the fiber and water.2

I'm focusing on a higher protein and lower carb diet and that seems to be working. I also make sure I am eating 1200 calories a day (or even a bit more) as sometimes I don't eat enough (even though I LOVE food....weird. haha) Having the tracker really helps!
@Kupla71 So weird that Ritz are one of the things that disagrees with you. Or maybe they don't disagree but you know to stay away. One cracker can turn into ...well....MANY! haha0 -
I am on Wegovy and I am 5 months in. For about a month I have been on a plateau. It is discouraging. I am not sure how to get the scale to MOVE again. What do others do?0

First, check that you are moving as much as usual and not eating more than usual. Little things can add up. Then, talk to the doc who prescribed your Wegovy, they may need to increase your dose a bit. As I understand it this is pretty common after using the medication for several months. Also with normal weight loss, sometimes plateaus can happen if you are moving less because of decreased calories, this can happen subconsciously. Hope this helps.0 -
@Julieann404 I love ritz crackers! I can’t stop eating them. That’s the problem. I will eat half the box. 😂1

I started the shot in April. I focused on working out hard and watching what I ate. I started at 260 and by June 21st I was down to 237. I then stopped the shot. I restarted the shot about 3 weeks ago, so far I've lost 10 more pounds. I've been very strict with my regime. I only eat about 900-1000 calories a day and I walk 3 miles a day. When I walk, it considered it a fast walk. I can complete a mile in 17 mins which is huge for me because it was taking me 19-20 mins. This last week my scale has fluctuated and it looks like I've only lost 0.5 of a pound. I deal with discouragement. I'm bad about weighing myself daily. I am thankful the scale is moving in the right direction, no matter how small the victory is. I wish everyone good luck, we are all in this together.1

Have you tried changing up your injection site? I've been seeing that some people notice they may stall then switch site and start losing again. You can inject into arm, thigh or stomach. Also are you tracking what your eating? Are you eating enough/too much?0 -
I just completed week 2, did week 3 shot today. Things I've been doing is to try and focus on my protein. Im not about losing my hair so knew that from the start to keep that in mind. I try and eat every 2 to 3hrs even if not hungry to get some protein in, even if it's just a meat stick, tuna packet etc. It all adds up and helps in the long run. Week 1 I was down 5lbs, week 2 3.7 so I feel like it's working well as they say 1 to 2lbs a weeks is to be expected.2

Hello you Big Fat Losers!! Lol I started Semaglutide on November 4th, lost 3 lbs. I don't know if it's because I'm an 'emotional eater' or not, but I'm finding that I still think about putting food in my mouth all too often. 😯 I resist, but it's a struggle.0

I recently increased my dose of rybelsus to 14mg and for the first time while on this medication I really am experiencing a decrease in appetite. I’m very hopeful that I can continue to lose weight. I just don’t want to eat when I’m not hungry. It’s a relief! I have a bag of opened chips on the counter and I don’t want any. I have chocolate. I don’t want that either. I think I’ll just have a decaf coffee.
@nomoredeath1 I struggled too when I first started taking this medication. It helped a little but I still wanted to eat more than I really needed. Give it time. I started at 3mg. Then went up to 7mg. Now on my current dose, losing weight is much more doable. I do eat healthy and walk a lot but this dose is definitely helping me keep my calories down.0 -

If it’s not hunger it might be a habit you need to break or something more subconscious you need to work through with a therapist who specializes in enhanced CBT. You shouldn’t have to white-knuckle dieting, and learning some tools to alleviate that would be helpful. Hope this helps.0
