I don't know why you think that chicken is bad. Or do you mean highly processed chicken products with masses of salt? Please give us more info so we can help you better. For high blood pressure, reducing salt might work. Weightloss if needed, and exercising are probably the best way forward though. And some people simply have high blood pressure and nothing helps, other than management with medication.1

@peyalsh9 welcome to MFP.
For me, simply logging what I ate caused me to pay attention to both what I ate, and quantities of same.
For example, learning that two Oreos was a serving- and how much effort it took to burn off those two Oreos, or how much of my daily calorie budget they “consumed”
(🤣)- made me entirely rethink how important Oreos were in my life.
My vote would be
1.) start weighing and logging accurately. No guesstimating. That will start you off paying attention to what goes in your mouth and when. Pay attention to what makes you feel more satiated.
2.) start thinking about what you can substitute. For example instead of 15 measly salty chips with lunch, I can have a big bowl of air popped popcorn for 130, plus 35 if I choose (and I do!) to add half a tbsp of margarine mixed with some low sodium soy sauce. That’s a much larger, more satisfying quantity of food. The fragrance of fresh popcorn also beats the daylights out of ripping open a bag of chips and that adds to the enjoyment even more.
For lunch today, I’m having a large side of carrots, radishes and cucumber spears, with some zero or low cal salad dressing or yogurt as a dip. It will be really filling, and while obese, I forgot how much I enjoyed crispy vegetables.
Simplest sub ever….diet soft drinks or sugar-free syrup coffees for full sugar.
I used to worry that I’d get cancer from sugar free products. I finally realized, the extra weight was going to kill me well before anything else would ever have a chance.

Well certain things like genetics and age is something we can't do much about but other factors like weight for example being obese or overweight can put stress on our arteries which increases blood pressure. Poor lifestyle choices like diet, consuming too much processed and UPF's, excessive alcohol consumption, and smoking can all contribute to hypertension as well. And stress, chronic stress and of course underlying health conditions like diabetes, sleep apnea, kidney disease and fatty liver etc.
Chicken is a good protein but I think you need to read a little more and get a better look at the big picture regarding overall health that might show how lifestyle factors lead to better outcomes for the vast majority of people. Lose weight if your overweight, try and consume a variety of whole foods with a focus on protein, and move more whether that is just walking, engaging in a new sport or some type of full body workouts that included resistance training and some cardio. Get a pet, if you don't have one, take some alone time and unplug for the daily grind.
I also want to add that high blood pressure is a trojan horse in the sense that it's the first assault on our arteries that increases the PSI (pressure) causing tiny tears in the endothelium which leads to inflammation and it's inflammation that allows metabolites to then enter the arterial walls, not good and I would suggest if you haven't talked to a Doctor to do that as soon as possible and medicate your condition and just to be clear I'm not one to advocate medication but this is one I personally think is paramount, in my opinion.0
