I went to the gym yesterday on my lunch hour! I did the elliptical on the most basic level. But I stayed on it for 30 minutes which is huge for me. I need to get a good audio book or something to distract myself. Iβm committing g to M W F this week so I wonβt do it today. But yay me!3 -

Every time I say that life will calm down next week or the week after, life delivers another big source of stress. Itβs taxing on the body and it tests your ability to focus and plan. It makes me want to have treats to comfort myself or reward myself for getting through the tough stuff. Wish I could find treats that are not food or alcohol based. But nothing else seems as effective

Flatlining on my graph for my Withing's app weight tracking.. Guess I am going to hang out here for a bit . Seems to be my trend. big drop then nothing for a bit. I think I'd prefer the slow steady consistent but I think my 4 days of doing not much are impacting things.
November goal is still within reach.
My headache /neck thing is resolving . I did not go to the Chiro. I just couldn't bring myself to get "cracked" or adjusted . Much too guarded for that with my neck . Headache is pretty much gone but still some residual neck stiffness.

I said it's been a long week -- yes, it's Tuesday. π€£ I have to get up at 3am for travel tomorrow. It's been a harried week and after working the weekend, I'm pretty much out of extra energy. I'm trying really hard to be good, not eat something bad, etc. I worked out yesterday; I might get a chance tomorrow. I'm actually still working right now. This too shall pass. Just trying to keep doing what I need to.
Sending everyone some great energy, positive thoughts. We're all trying to do the same thing here. There are ups and downs. Just keep going; you will trend downward over time, even if it doesn't look like it right now. You can do this.4 -
@HappyDonkey75 I understand not wanting to go to the chiropractor and getting cracked! I went to a chiropractor for a stiff neck years ago. I let her do what she needed to except I wouldnβt let her βcrackβ my neck! I was just so afraid she would permanently injure me!

Just when I started to whine yesterday about being stuck I woke up to a nice change. Yesterday I got my 10K steps in and also did a treadmill and bike session.
Was probably water weight that I managed to sweat out.
@ManifestingToday - I sure hope your work gets less stressful and demanding. That makes it really hard to find time to take care of yourself. Thank you for the encouraging words in spite of all that. You are doing a great job and seeing some nice drops on the scale. One step at a time, as they say , and we can only take on so much .
@dannytrees1 - nice new low.. congrats
@capewrathultra- sometimes the gains are just part of the body adjusting , or alteast that is what I have heard/read.Still annoying. The key is to not fall off the plan and get discouraged on those days which is sometimes easier said than done. Hang in there. I try to find a motivational podcast or you tube to listen to on those days.6 -

Not surprised. Soup for dinner last night (sodium) ahead of travel; 4-ish hours of sleep, and up at 3am, plus my work schedule. I have salad in the fridge. A tasty low-cal treat for after dinner. And just keep going.

Hang in there everyone! You can see the patterns with people that have been working at this for a while. There's a drop, then a spike(s), then a lower drop, then a spike. It's a lot of highs and lows. So if you're seeing a spike for a day or two, accept it, keep with your plan, this too shall pass. And hey - I've had to start over sometimes. Starting over is better than giving up altogether. So if you're in mood, or going through some stuff, give yourself grace, and then get back to your health plan, and start trudging forward again. This is not a race - this is changing habits and behaviors that have likely been at play for years, if not decades. We're all doing our best. You've got this. β¨

Well, I guess it was going to happen. A high fluctuation for seemingly no reason. It doesnβt bother me as I know itβs just how it goes. I walked for 1 and 1/2 hours today and kept under my calorie goal so Iβm still on track.

138.2. I had some lipid tests and my cholesterol is high. Iβm pissed off about that as there will be pressure to go on statins from my GP practice nurse. But we will see. The NHS tends to give blanket advice. I think my overall risk of cardiovascular disease would be low. As Iβve never smoked, I exceed the exercise guidelines my BP and blood sugars are normal and my stress levels arenβt high.1

I went to the gym again yesterday. And it was easier. Mind you Iβm doing a base level on the elliptical. But my goal was to just show up three times this week. So Iβll take the win.
Yesterday I wrote out a big thing to post here. But had to put my phone down before I posted it and didnβt save it. Bah!
@cupcakesandproteinshakes thata frustrating about the cholesterol. That doesnβt seem right to me but Iβm not a medical person. If youβre working out and eating well Iβd ask for it to be monitored until your next appt before moving forward with meds. But I donβt speak from any sort of medical background.
@Kupla71 i find my weight goes up when I do a big walk. Muscles retaining water? Getting βswollβπ I donβt know. But keep it up. It will significantly drop at some point again. I really enjoyed my hour and a half walk home from work last Friday. Your mention of it has me thinking Iβll do it again tomorrow.
@ManifestingToday wow! That was some 24 hours! It makes a lot of sense thereβs be an uptick. Your body is hoarding resources to use after all that. lol. Iβm sure when things settle down so will the numbers.
