Male 31 250lb looking for an accountability buddy

Greetings all. I'm male, 31, been struggling with my weight my entire life. There's been ups and downs so to speak. At this age, however, it's really starting to feel critical to get this thing under control. It's no longer a vanity thing, but a real health issue.

So I'm kinda looking into any options that I haven't tried before. One of these would be having a proper accountability buddy. Someone to report to, either daily or perhaps weekly, and like versa.

I understand people are busy so I'm not looking for anything too involved. It's also fine to go our separate ways whenever, no pressure. I think even short messages, having to actually report your progress (or lack thereof), could be very helpful. Kinda like a journal where there's someone actually taking it all in.

I'm also open to hearing if there are any existing platforms or communities that would fit this need!

Hey, good on you for wanting to make a change for your health. I have spent the last 15ish years yo-yoing and trying different things to get to a healthy weight with varying levels of success. I started this year at 255lbs and am now down to 209 (and still going). Consistency and accountability have played a major role in my success so far. I started working with a coach who, aside from helping plan my workouts and nutrition, has had me do weekly check-ins with progress photos. This has kept me very accountable! He's been super supportive but honest with me which has helped me stay on track with my nutrition and training. There are lots of options for online coaches which are a lot more affordable than in person/ one on one coaching. I think something like that could really help you on your fitness journey!

    Hey traverlerSF
I'm looking for a buddy myself, so if you act as my accountability partner and I act as yours maybe we can help each other? If you're interested hit me up. I'd prefer to meet on Zoom or other platform (camera optional) but I'm flexible.
