@HappyDonkey75 I'm so sad to hear about the elderly neglected horse. I can't stand to see an animal suffer. That's the thing about working with animals. It's wonderful on one hand but then so sad when they need to be put to sleep.

Roller coaster.. just trying to hang on for the ride ..
Yesterday I got my 10K steps in even though it required a later than usual treadmill session but it was cold and dark outside and it was better than sitting my duff on the couch and watching TV .I find when I do just the simple step goal it really helps me.
I also had a great swim session yesterday and it did help me feel better. I swam for 30 minutes and didn't die. A far cry from where I was last spring when I had been swimming 3x a week most of the winter months before my knee surgery, I was doing 40 laps with ease in about 35 minutes.

My Apple Watch came in yesterday. I had a Fitbit for ages and loved it! But the platform changed a few years ago and I didnβt love the new set up. When my Fitbit died I didnβt replace it. Iβve been relying on my phone to get a ballpark of my steps.
With this new job they give you a wellness account. Things like running shoes, Ice skates, gym memberships etc. So I got the watch. Iβm excited to put it to use!

Had my strength training yesterday and yoga class last night. Sore today as expected but feeling great.3 -

I will own this if its as high as 174.9 because I ate way too many carbs yesterday.
@Emkaygirl1 - I also have some wellness benefits through work but nothing like the options you have. What a great deal. As far as watches I bought an off brand smart watch for tracking steps last spring. I didn't want to spend the money for the Apple watch. I haven't regretted it. I spent way less than $100 and it works great. I don't always have my phone on me so using it for my step count wasn't going to work for me.
@tishsmith101 - I see a few people doing that at the pool I go to. I haven't reupped my membership yet but will soon. Its a pricey gym , about $750 for year and they don't give discounts for any of the employer programs that I have access to. Its also the only gym in the area that has a lap pool . Kind of makes it difficult

I too got a smart watch, paid about $50 for it, it works great.
The scales donβt let us get away with anythingβ¦ misbehavingβ¦ and thereβs no hiding the next day or 2.
Every little bit helps⦠and it will show down the road.
This group certainly helps me keep going, and Iβm having fun doing it.

While it wasnβt my most successful day yesterday (it was slow at work so I caved into a sweet craving and got a cookie. Dinner was delicious comfort food. But I only had one bowl. Yay me. I treated myself to a glass of wine while I folded laundry.) Iβm also counting my wins because I was restrained on the choices. Sure I can have a cookie. ONE cookie. Yup that dinner was cozy stroganoff. Point was so good I could go for a second helping. But ones enough. I feel full. I just liked the flavour. I had the house to myself and I was feeling sorry for myself. I can have one glass and make this not so fun task that much little bit better.
And I did! Will the numbers reflect the choices I made tomorrow. More than likely. Will I let it derail me today. It will be tempting. But nope.
Gym today. Lots of water to combat the wine choice and letβs get at er kids!!

137.6. Happyscale says Iβm losing 1/5th of a pound a week on average. If I can increase that to a quarter of a pound a week I will be happy. Slow but sustainable. Iβll be at goal weight by June 2025. Totally fine.4
