Took a vacation day yesterday while work is slow. Got 90% of the laundry done, did dishes and made vegan ricotta for my daughter in law's stuffed shells. If hubby feels up to hitting the gym after work, I may try some walking laps in the pool. In the mean time, will be aiming for a lot more NEAT today.2 -

I read somewhere that the more you eat home cooked food the more sensitive your taste buds become so over time you need less salt or fat or chemicals in order for stuff to taste good.3 -

Well dang it! I thought for sure Iβd see lower today. But I can't deny the extra helping at dinner. And I donβt regret it. Iβm still 6 pounds lighter than when I started. Making conscious choices means choosing to enjoy a second bowl. And so I did.
I had a healthy lunch and drank my water. So Iβm choosing to accept this today and stay the course.
Big stressful weekend this weekend. A lot of big feelings and alcohol coming. I wonβt expect to not imbibe. But for more reasons than just the scale I will be using caution. I need my wits about me this weekend. Next week I can work to clean up that mess. Letβs just hope itβs not too big a mess.5 -

Been a stressful week, new manager , two teams merging and alot end of year stuff coming at us. I didn't sleep well last night . I did the night before, correlation to the scale? The experts say so. It could be a valid excuse.
Weather has been absolutely miserable the last few days, cold, dark, wet and rain/snow mix , fog , no sun. I am feeling pretty low energy and may just skip my workout today.

Based on what I ate on Thursday, there is no way in Hell that I should have gained 2 lbs. My bathroom scale's precision has gone right out-the-window, too, so I'm guessing it is off due to damage/mishandling (read 'other people using it, not me'). So that is where I stand, now: I dropped about 15 lbs on Lose It, switched to MFP for the last 3 weeks, and I've been trending up in weight ever since. Is it MFP's fault? No, it's all mine. That being said, though, if what I'm doing isn't working, it's time to change it up. With Thanksgiving only a few days away, I don't want to drop $20-$40 on a new smart scale, so I will go back to my old digital scale for now. I'm also going to make a concerted effort to follow what has worked in the past, and take it from there. No way I'll be lighter the day after Thanksgiving, but I expect to see positive results on the other 7 days left in this challenge. I CAN do this, and I WILL do this... #staytuned.5 -

@canadamarie - I am also taking the week off next week. I plan to hit the gym hard on all days scheduled... especially Thursday morning.. I am determined to not get too sideways due to the holidays. I mean I will have pie.. and wine but my meal is going to be veggies (lots of them ,minus the sweet gooey sweet potatoe or Yam dishes that I don't like anyways) and white meat so how bad can it be? Right?? ( oh and the stuffing.. there is that.lol

Interesting , no workout yesterday and went about 250 calories over my normal 1600.. Perhaps this is telling me something...5 -
Daughterβs birthday dinner party last night. Made homemade Mexican dinner for 9 adults and I ate everything within reason. Had a tiny piece of chocolate cake and a little more wine than I planned. Will have lots of water today and a good walk before the rain returns.
No real gain this month but I need to get back to calorie deficit today. Onward and downward from here!
We have plenty of time to stay the course this week!

I had an off day. I ate chips and ice cream and I had a beer! I have been doing everything I should and my weight hasnβt changed in weeks. I guess I felt discouraged. I know I have to just stick with it. Iβve been hoping for a drop for a few days but it just isnβt happening. Iβm sure my calories are under. Well the last of last week and the weekend werenβt as strong. But Iβm ok with it. A big anniversary party for my in-laws and tensions were high around it. While it was a nice party I am so very glad it is over and done with.
Yesterday was a hangover day. Because Im old and 3 glasses of wine and a rye and ginger will do that to me. π. So nothing much was done yesterday.
Iβm off today. While I donβt plan to go to the gym at work I will try to get a nice long walk in today.
Home stretch people! We got this! And remember while we have a number goal in mind. The fact that weβve done something positive this month instead of not means we are all ahead of where we would have been anyway!
