    Hi everyone,

I was way off with my belly measurement!

Checked again and corrected as follows:

    B: 40", W: 37", H: 39", P (Potbelly!): 43.5".

I will post these stats again with a comparison to stats as of 01/01/25, along with before/after scale app stats side-by-side stats to show progress.

I will continue to post weight, week loss and total loss each Wednesday through January 1, 2025.

    Have a great week!

Well it is Monday November 11th. Yes I am really late posting my November 5th weigh in. I am still at 193 lbs. I would do a do over like Carole @Walela617 but I haven't even budged on the scale. Thanks Carole for inspiration and insight. I need to do this for my health.

For all the boards in which I participate: I do hereby call a "Do-Over DO-OVER"! (Yay.)

That's right, beginning this Wednesday, November 20th, which is just SIX WEEKS from the New Year, I will post my new weight (which I'm sure will be UP, because I must confess that I've been overindulging). I will also post updated scale app stats and key measurements (bust, waist, hips and "paunch" - as in "potbelly"). I will refer to these measurements as "B", "W", "H" and "P".

I will post side-by-side before and after data on January 1st, 2025, the final day of this challenge, in order to show progress towards my goal of 140 lbs. or less. I will then start up a new challenge beginning on January 1, 2025 and continuing until the first day of SPRING, Thursday, March 20th. I will aim for a weight loss of one pound per week. That means I will need to reduce calorie consumption and increase calorie expenditure to a combined total of 500 calories per day, since 3,500 calories = 1 lb. I've decided to stick with Wednesdays for my weigh-in day. It's right in the middle between weekends, when we normally tend to go off our routines a bit; so it gives some time to "balance out" the week's calorie and activity levels.

That's all for now. I'll be back on Wednesday, November 20th.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

    💖Carole

Hi everyone. My name is Laura. I just turned 54 and I live in Memphis. I started my weight loss journey in March and it's amazing but this time around I'm losing the weight and I've consistently stuck with it. I also recently challenged myself to walking 10k steps per day. Today is my 57th day in a row of hitting 10k steps. It's exciting to see that I'm losing but at times I get down when I look at myself and see I still look chubby.

My current goal is to be below 200 lbs. I chose 190 as my goal weight because even with fluctuations and different scales I would still be under 200.

    HW 242.2
    CW 213.6
    GW 190

Right now I'm just trying to leave the 210s behind me. I have 4 more lbs to go.

Hi everyone. Happy Wendesday. My weight is up so I'm a little disappointed. Pizza late at night Monday. Taco truck yesterday evening.
But I'm going to keep going. 5k steps this morning. This is day 62 of 10k steps per day.

    Nov 13 - 214.8
    Nov 20 - 216.5

On the scale 193 lbs. My weight has been steady. On the treadmill 2 out of 3 days. Tracking my food. Weighing myself. Just keep my focus. If I falter... don't sabotage the rest of my journey. Take care everyone. Cheers!

Hi @Bemybestby60, I downloaded one called "Weight Diary", but I like the one that goes with my Renpho scale better. I just downloaded the one you have. I like it better than the one I tried; so I'll use that one along with my scale app.

Have a nice night everyone! 💞

Hi @kianacj, Not to worry; it's probably only temporary water weight caused by all that sodium. Your step numbers are amazing!

Hi everyone, Here I go. It wasn't as bad as I thought (I only regained 0.6 lbs.), but here are my initial stats and key measurements for Day 1 of my 6-week, New Year Countdown:
    3oh3kbku88o1.png
    (I hate how my scale thinks I'm 71, LOL! (I'm 66.)

    B: 40"/W: 37"/H: 39"/P: 43"

I will update weight change weekly including week loss/total loss (since today) and will post side-by-side, before/after stats and measurements for January 1, 2025, when I get back to the office after New Year's Day. I'm hoping to average a pound loss per week (or more) so I can be in the 140's by 1/1/25!

    Have a great week everyone!

Grandbabies are the best reason to get in shape. I have a 10 month old that is my reason to get back on track. I also have 9 year old, 6 year old and a 5 year old grandchildren. They have been used to me not being able to do much. I want to be a new Grandma to them too. I will come back on Wednesday and post my weight. Last week my weigh in was 187. I have been on MFP for years and left for a brief time. I decided to come back to get on track. I live in Ohio and I am 53 years old. Weight loss is a struggle for me. But I will get it.

I am out of town cleaning out my mother's house. Tons of steps! Three hundred more steps and I'll have 68 days in a row of 10k steps. No weigh in this week. I don't have access to a scale. Fingers crossed that I will be down when I get back home. Happy Thankagiving to everyone.

    Hi everyone!

Here I go. Not much progress, but at least a little bit. We'll see what it looks like the Wednesday after Thanksgiving weekend!

    11/20/24: 154.8
11/27/24: 154.2 (lbs. lost since restart: 0.6, total lost: 0.6)

I will check back on Wednesday, December 4th. (Hopefully, I can atone for the feasting by then!) ;)

Until then, I wish you and all of your loved ones a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend!

Hi, new here! I’ve lost 20 lb over the last year but I’d really like to rev that up because I’m far, far behind on my HealthyWager and sick of extending. I hope to lose 10 by New Years as a big boost as I recommit.

    Hi, @bunnierin, Welcome!

That sure is a tall order, losing an average of 2 lbs. per week during the holiday season, but I'm sure it's doable; so go for it!🦋

I'm hoping to average a one pound loss per week for the remaining 5 weeks of this year, but if I can lose more, that would be GREAT!

    Best wishes! 💗

Well still sitting at 193lbs. Too many calories & I am guessing my metabolism has changed. Hit my treadmill goal 4 out 5 days. Logging my food...

Hi @Bemybestby60, Maintaining beats gaining, and logging food is half the battle. Be careful over Thanksgiving weekend - you've got this!

Sharing a healthy, pumpkin custard recipe I found on the internet: I used sucralose drops (to taste) for sweetener, maple extract instead of vanilla extract, Planet Oak unsweetened vanilla oat milk and I also ended up baking it about 10 or 15 minutes longer until it seemed done to me. (I sprayed the ramekins with avocado oil before filling to prevent sticking.) It came out great!x16xmqccdwgo.jpg8ugnbjpog2mx.jpgYeah, they spelled "pumpkin" wrong. (I took screenshots because they wanted me to download something before I could save it and I didn't want to do that.) I halved the recipe and made two, generous servings, both of which I plan to enjoy today! (I'm going to make it again for tomorrow, but I'll probably use less oat milk next time.) The recipe said to chill these, but I enjoyed my first serving while it was still warm. I'm going to chill the second serving for later and compare.

Enjoy your evening - I'll check back in tomorrow! 💗

Well. I got home on Thursday Thanksgiving day and I weighed Friday. I was slightly over 220. Wow. Talk about upsetting. I thought I left the 220s behind forever. I lost 4 plus pounds between Friday morning and this morning so I'm guessing it was a lot of water weight. This morning I weighed in at 216.3. That is 3.1 pounds higher than last Monday. :-(. At least I'm headed back down. I'm striving to be in one-derland before this challenge is over.

PS Today was my 74th day of hitting 10k steps per day. I'll get back to weighing on Wednesday.

    Hi everyone,

    February 29, 2008 - 217 (All-time highest weight before I joined)
    Goal Range - 132-140
    December Starting Weight - 152.2
December Goal - 148 (or less)

Here's the update for today (in pounds):

    11/20/24: 154.8
    11/27/24: 154.2
12/04/24: 154.6 (lbs. lost since restart: 0.2, total lost: 0.2)

My weight bumped up since my restart, but with the Thanksgiving 4-day weekend and my company's holiday party this past Monday, that's to be expected. (I'm sure I can fix it over the next several days.)

Today is only FOUR WEEKS until 2025, can you believe it?

    Have a great day!
    💗Carole

Well here I go up to 195lbs. Not a shock. My dedication has been lacking. I log my food intake and see the uptick in calories. Keep up the great work everyone.
