Iβm pretty happy with this result. One of the best things about tracking weight this way is I can see the patterns as they relate to hormones so I know when I need to work harder vs a fluctuation that will pass in a couple of days. As long as I hit a new low each month and hit my average target weight Iβm happy.
See you all in December!3 -

@capewrathultra No, it's not a fail and you did not fail. Please hear me when I say this: there are lots of fluctuations in this journey. Look at my numbers above. All over the place in one month. And my past 6 mos journey saw me ballon right back up to nearly my starting weight. The point of keeping a log like this is to see it's not a steady trend down. If I can get a picture to load, I'll show you what I mean.
And what's sad, that graph never gets out of the 200's, though I did briefly get to the 190's for a brief period longer than 6 mos ago. That dark blue section? That's where I gave up and walked away from this thread because I was fed up. But since Oct 21, I've been back at it. That picture is from WeightGrapher . com -- it's free, and I track my weight there as well. The graph is a bit more dyanmic than the chart in the MFP reports section. You can make notes where there's a cycle or an event that takes you off course. But just like @canadamarie said above, tracking these numbers allows you to see the patterns in your journey and know when it's hormones or cyclical vs. sodium or a time you have to work harder.
But please don't call it a fail. We are all here for the same reason.
Alright friends, we're rolling into December tomorrow, and a fresh month to recommit. I'll have the December thread up by the end of the day. I'll post the link here so everyone can bookmark it. βοΈ

@capewrathultra - as @ManifestingToday mentioned, definitely not a fail. We all have numbers up and down all the time. My chart overtime is similar.. lots of plateaus, with some spikes. As hard as it is to see those fluctuations, it is part of this journey. I think sometimes its hard to scale every day and makes some of us a little OCD when things trend up, but it helps to see it over the long term. I am starting to figure out (only taken me 6 months) how my body responds to things I do. I tend to gain after a hard couple of strength training days in a row. because I get DOMS quite badly and that means water retention. I also know I have to get 25 grams of fiber or more daily.. if I don't , I can see an increase in the scale. )not to mention the complexity some of us deal with regarding hormones and what our systems like to do !) So, it's little things like that over time with trying to hone in on what is going to work long term. Hang in there , your doing great

Had a great Thanksgiving with family and then out to the movies to see Wicked yesterday.
Enjoyed the holidays foods but didnβt over do! Will toss out the leftover pumpkin pie and do a bit of Christmas decorating today.
Iβm ready for a December challenge to keep moving toward my goals!

As others have said. Not a fail!!! The farthest thing from a fail. You showed up and did the work. Failing would have been not even trying.
Remember the scale is only one measurement and one of the worst ones! (Iβm reminding myself that too). We will see you next month and walk this journey with you again into Christmas.
I felt this way yesterday when I saw the scale reflect the same weight I started with this month. Lol. So I get it.
But then I pushed myself to attend a spin class at work today. Except it was cancelled. But the few that didnβt get the memo like me, set up a HIIT circuit. Iβve never done one but figured I was there so why not.
It was hell!!! Buwahaha! I couldnβt finish. But I gave it what I could. They started the class out with climbing seven floors of stairs and I was like I can do that. Yeahβ¦. By the 5th floor I was dying!!! πππ. But they didnβt have to carry me. I made it back to the studio and did a circuit. Then they made me do the stairs again!! I did one more circuit and called it. I think they did 3 stair climbs and three circuits. Good on em! Something to aspire to. But I was seeing spots. And Iβm sure Iβll feel it today.
Not bad for a first try.
Today we are cutting down a Christmas tree. And I want to do some Christmas baking. So it should be a full day!
You all did amazing this month! Whether or not you saw the scale move. You showed up for YOU! and thatβs what this is all about. We are doing this for US! While supporting each other on our journeys. And I truly appreciate all of you for that. My morning coffees mean so much more reading all of your posts.
