Eating a lot of eggs in the diet

Hey everyone! Quick question: When consuming a large number of eggs, how does it affect the calcium to phosphorus ratio? I've heard that eggs provide a lot more phosphorus than calcium, and I'm wondering if this could cause an imbalance. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Eggs have more phosphorus than calcium as you know but if it's one or two eggs a day then the ratio is fine, which is around the 2:1 to 3:1. If your eating a lot more eggs daily like I do then the ratio starts to widen and the need to consume foods that have a decent amount of calcium to bring back that balance is desirable for sure. If that's what your doing then try consuming more dairy like milk which personally I don't consume so I get my calcium from cheese and yogurt, also leafy greens like spinach and kale. It's not the end of the world if you don't balance it out but there are studies that show too much phosphorus can potentially effect bone health but just keep in mind studies are not real life and we can't really judicate the effect on an individual basis. I'm keto and I eat a lot of eggs and this is basically my opinion from the data I looked at a few years ago but you should do your own research just so it's clear in your mind.

Well Lynn that brought back memories, lol. Been there, done that. It's probably the best source of bioavailable calcium. I use to boil and dry the shells then put them in a spice grinder and end up with a powder that I use to add to mostly protein drinks back in the day when I use to drink them. :D
