Kylia ~ So glad you checked in. We miss you when you are not here.

Sue ~ So glad you got heat restored. It's been in the 20's and 40's here today in GA so I am glad that we have heat.

Allie ~ I'm sorry Kyle's needs supersede the needs of his family.

Heather ~ I had crepes one time when my son worked for a French restaurant for a short time and I remember liking them a lot. Would love to understand how to make them.

Lisa ~ Wonder why your son and his gal want to move. Will they be able to get the support they need in a new location?

I have nothing to add to the day!

crepes are not that hard to make if you have a nonstick small frying pan(that is what I have used. We used to actually have a crepe maker that was super simple. Not sure if they even make them any more.
The main trick is to get them thin enough that they cook through but not so thin that they tear when you take them out of the pan. The first one or two will most likely not be perfect while you figure the technique down.
I haven't made them in YEARS- maybe I will try them. I know my son loves them. Sweet ones and savory ones.

I got some candy to load my Advent calendar which is wooden and I fill each year with Hershey kisses - 2 each day, one for DH, one for me. We both enjoy that tradition.

:) In the book I'm reading that has sort of a Christmas theme, the writer tells the story of someone who loaded an Advent calendar with chocolates except that in several of them, loaded no chocolate and substituted a note that said "Life's not fair."

Cool idea! Except that if I don’t open it, DH won’t. Found a doggie Advent Calendar with jerky in it at Sam’s yesterday. It looked like it had 2 of them but when I got home and opened it this morning, it was only one but with BIG pieces of jerky in each door, which I will cut in half for my 2 small dogs. Nighttime snacks for them! I didn’t even put mine up yet! Will do that later today.

By afternoon yesterday, I was coughing and sneezing, then at night, colitis attack. Woke up with a cold/sinus thing this morning. SHEESH! If it’s not one type of medical it is another at this age! Aging is definitely not fun!! Hope to do some decorating today if I feel up to it. At least the Advent Calendar. I did get all our Christmas shopping done this weekend. We both got new shavers, some clothes, and other trinkets. All that’s left is for me to do Christmas Cards and mail them.

It got down into the 20’s last night and of course, a camper came knocking at like 7 am because of frozen pipe. We didn’t answer the door. They did manage to catch the ranger who helped them out with spare parts FROM OUR STASH! He emailed me what he did. I wonder what they will do when we leave here? LOL nah, nah, nanah na! LOL
