OMG hopefully someone can help me with this. I've lost fifteen pounds so far as of today, and I still haven't lost any inches off my waist. Does anyone have an answer for me? I do cardio at least three days a week, I've cut down on sodium, and I'm on my feet all day (I'm a teacher). Please help!

Try the DVD Bob Harpers Yoga for the warrior, it has a 20 minute ab workout seperate from the yoga routine. I wasn't getting any results on my stomach area either till I started doing this workout. It's amazing0

It took me a month and a half to actually lose inches around my midsection, it's as if it's the last to let go, I was losing weight from everywhere else.0

Sounds like you hit a plateau..or maybe not eating enough and your body is deciding it wants to stay at a stand still..or you might need to change up on your exercise routine..the body will get use to any kind of exercise and so we need to confuse it every now and then...I, myself change up my exercise from week to week..as it is..I don't want to get bored with it either..and that seems to help..add me if you want.. I can't view your food diary..so I can't say..anything..not an expert but what I've learned so far is if you don't have enough calories..your body will go into starvation mode and decide its going to halt everything and retain everything you put in your mouth..
If you don't know how to open your food diary..go to the top of the screen and click settings and change from there...
Add me if you want..and we can go from there..just let me know why your adding me if you do..0 -
Hi honey well done on what you have achieved so far!!! Amazing!!
Belly fat is often for some the first to arrive and the last to go, so you're not alone.
Personally, I think you should up your cardio to at least 5 days, half an hour is fine, and do some muscle work, I absolutely recommend using weights, what some don't realise is that with every weighted exercise you use your core, and abs so it make you strong inside and out, tones in super fast time and gives you a toned look very quickly, if you want to look more muscular you can up your game, if not you can maintain where you are.
The other thing that is important for belly fat loss is nutrition, it is half the battle you need to make sure all your meals are well balanced, macro nutrients and eat little and often. Also water is hugely important and the more you drink the less your body will hold on to.
Loads of luck with what ever you decide is best for you my love!!!

Thanks so much for all the responses. I've increased my water intake, but I will try to increase my cardio and weight training as some of you suggested. I'm just really confused at how the body works. But, I guess it will all work out in the end.0

A person can't spot reduce, but they can spot tone. It's has been said many times, abs starts in the kitchen. I believe that, but I take it further. A body starts in the kitchen.
I'm a big fan of Tae Bo. If I can recommend you an ab workout by Billy Blanks that will help you lose inches. I would suggest you check out Tae Bo Insane Abs. Check this workout out on youtube. You should be able to find it at Walmart, Barnes and Nobles, Target, etc. Amazon has it too.

Billy has a lot of ab workouts, but this his latest one.0 -

I've read a few sources that say cutting out gluten will greatly reduce belly fat. You can check out Wheat Belly by Dr. William Davis or google similar terms. I've been eating gluten free for the past few days and I am planning on doing so for the next few weeks to see what the results are. I figured it certainly won't hurt to try it out.
Its something worth looking into for reducing belly fat at least!0 -
I have the same problem. My kids were all around 10 lbs, my tummy muscles never came back together, and I still look pregnant. I was feeling great about myself when a neighbor asked if I was expecting again. Ummm... no, no more kids. But she's not the only one. People ask me when this one is due all the time.0
