Spot reduction doesn't work.
If we lose body fat, we'll lose it from where we have some, in whatever order our personal body wants to follow. (Many people lose last where they gain first, and for a fair fraction of people, that's the abdominal area.)
The implication is that to lose belly fat, we eat somewhat fewer calories than we burn daily, and lose body fat. Eventually, some of that is likely to be belly fat. Unfortunately, for some people, other parts of the body get thinner than they'd like before their abdominal area looks the way they'd prefer. That's mostly about genetics.
For women (of which I am one, BTW), there's some very limited evidence that strength training may help us lose central fat. At worst, it'll tighten things up all over, and that can result in a more attractive appearance, plus strength is useful in everyday life, and strong muscles help create strong bones so we minimize our osteoporosis risk. It's worth doing for any of those reasons.
If your pregnancies resulted in diastasis recti (a separation of muscle tissue along the vertical midline of the abdominal area), there are physical therapy interventions that may help heal that. Some regular abdominal exercises can aggravate the condition, so if that's part of the situation for you, it's good to be cautious.
Finally, there are some common posture issues these days that can make whatever abdominal fat we have look more prominent. The most common ones are
* locking the knees while standing,
* something called "anterior pelvic tilt" (which can also be caused or aggravated by wearing high heels, or adopting a booty-out stance). It amounts to the top of the pelvic bones being forward of the lower part of the pelvic bones, when the pelvic bones ideally would be more evenly stacked vertically, and
* a rounded-forward shoulders, chin forward kind of posture that is sometimes called "kyphotic posture" (different from actual kyphosis, a skeletal condition) or may be more rudely called "nerd neck"; as you might guess, it becomes more likely when we spend time hunched over phones or keyboards.
Any of those things can tend to push whatever belly fat we have forward and downward, making it look more prominent than it needs to. Loosely speaking, improving the posture can make the abdominal area elongate and let the central fat drop back more inside the body cavity, where it's less visible. There are specific exercises to improve those things, too, again common in physical therapy scenarios.
If you can't get referrals for physical therapy, the "Bob & Brad" physical therapy videos on YouTube tend to cover identifying and improving some of this stuff, and they're actual qualified physical therapists. I do think some of their diet advice isn't great, but diet is outside their scope of practice, so probably not much more credible on that front than any of the rest of us.

What Ann above wrote. Added to that: many woman are seriously undermuscled. Build muscle, especially around your whole back and front. A good posture that you can hold without effort (hence muscles) will probably improve your appearance significantly.2

Getting a flat stomach at 41, especially after having two kids, is totally doable with the right approach. Try to keep your diet balanced by including whole foods, lots of fruits and veggies, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
