Started running again and gained!

So I started running again. I'm not running the whole time, trying to build my endurance up and started with 10 minutes straight of running, then 11, and yesterday did 12. The rest of the 30 minutes I walk. I keep gaining. I'm up 1.6 lbs now and not happy at all. I eat within my calorie limits and am always lower because I'm not hungry afterward. The gaining is slowing down (first day it was a 1 then .4 and today .2) but its really discouraging. And I haven't really been eating my workout calories back because I workout later in the day and eat dinner after. I don't want to eat when I'm not hungry because thats pretty much what got me here in the first place. The only trackable thing I go over in a day is my protein. I only drink water and coffee in a day so its not that I'm not getting enough water. Has anyone else gone through this? Where they gained and then completely lost it?

Humm.. there's no delicate way to ask this - is your period due? - that could cause a gain.

I started a bc plan a month ago and had it in the middle of taking the active pills but technically its due this week. So idk if that counts or not since I technically already had it.

try putting some sprints into the mix. getting you heart rate up in the 170's is healthy and keeps the burn going for an extended time after the workout.

I have an HRM and my heart rate is usually in the 180s when I am running and around 140's when I'm walking.

Have you been measuring your body too? It's quite normal to put weight on when you start exercising. It's your measurements that are important, not the figure on the scales.
