Rita - so glad you were able to get in to see the doc and get antibiotics. Hope they work quickly. Also happy to hear you got that shipping confusion with UPS and your PO box cleared up. Hope they are able to make deliveries just fine to your campground.

Lisa - sorry this is happening to your daughter. Don't blame you for getting ticked. I'm guessing it's much harder (and costlier) to deal with this custody stuff when she's so far away. :(

Vicki - sending positive thoughts to your DH for a successful surgery and quick recovery. I'm sure he's glad to get it out of the way. (((HUGS)))

I'm having lunch with M today. I'll go in a little early and hit the grocery store to load up for a week so I don't have to leave home during the cold snap.

Stay warm and safe my friends. <3

This is essentially the Couch to 5K method, using run/walk intervals focusing on increasing distance, but not at a high intensity. It's about consistency and gradual progression to increase endurance until you can run the whole 5 km. But during the run phases, it's important not to let your heart rate go into the red zone ... run at a pace you can breathe through your nose and keep running fairly comfortably.

It's more or less what I do when I start attempting running again. :) And a lot of people have had success working up to running a 5 km in 6-8 weeks (depending on the particular plan used).

Once the 5 km endurance aspect has been accomplished, then a person may want to add HIIT to work on speed.

Vicki - Hoping that your husband's op has gone well, and the recovery isn't too difficult. I think I've blotted out the pain of the early days! ;)

Machka - A second grandchild! What a joy.

Zooming this afternoon with my schoolfriends. I've prepped the duck legs for dinner, so John can put them in the oven while I'm on the call.

Did 650+ words this morning. :D

Thinking of you, Barbie. <3 It's a whole world out of time where everything is altered.

Had our Zoom this afternoon. We got each other up to date on life, and all our medical matters. Both B and P have recently had brain scans, for different reasons. B's report talked of age-related vascular deterioration, but nobody seems worried. She is 76, so that's to be expected, but P's seemed to show something a bit more serious. 'Significant '. She is, understandably, p....d off, and, no doubt, fearful. I suggested she doesn't panic, but finds a good neurologist for a chat.
Makes me not want to go near any brain scans! :o
    I know it's a privilege to grow old, but I can't say it's a breeze.

After work stopped at the dollar store for the girls. Made yogurt and now have it in the IP. Went to Belk’s and with my coupon got a pizza pan for $5. It’s a nice one, too. Then to Kohl’s where I got an oven mitt and potholder for free. Went to the stores looking for brown jeans. I thought that it wouldn’t be hard to find. Was I wrong! I’ll look in FL and if I don’t find them there, I’ll have to order online

M – forgot to say “congrats”

After shopping, made banana blondies for Vince. Should be interesting. I’ve never made banana blondies. Wonder if he’ll want chocolate icing on them (I would think so)

Vicki – add me to the list of people who hope your husband’s surgery goes well.

Vince went for a stress test today. They said it would take 4 hours, it only took 2.

Tomorrow after the soup kitchen I’ll call Vince when I leave and we can prebowl at least 3 games

Rita – glad the meds are starting to work

Lisa – if I were in your position, boy would I have a hard time! I’m quite an emotional person and there isn’t much that would hold me back. My heart breaks for you, your daughter and the children. Sperm donor doesn’t deserve my time.
