Ability to put a bright green checkmark next to each food that is logged

I can see how that would be beneficial for those who log in advance. I just passed this along to our team!3

Thank you very much Jean, it just seems that it would look nice on the logging page and be quite useful.1

I just realized that the idea would work for people logging it on the computer but not on the app.1

I am wondering what your staff thought of the suggestion to add a small bright green check mark that can be clicked after eating the item to help keep a visual on the days intake. I would LOVE it if you had that feature and I am sure anyone that enters their intake in advance of eating it would benefit from it. Please let me know Jean what your staff's response was to my idea.2

Sorry to disappoint, but the response you got is the copy and paste response to every suggestion made in this section going back years. Even the suggestions which are brought up over, and over again. One suggestion was made again the other day which is made all the time (a search function for Recipe Discovery) and I was curious and bored, so I went back - that same suggestion has been being made regularly for 4 years, and every time, the person posting it gets some version of "that's a great idea, I have passed this along to our team!" and nothing ever happens. I'm not even sure there is a "team".0 -
I’d also add that checking off what you ate is a pretty frequent request on this board and the response is essentially the same every time. I’m sure it could be useful to some people, but it doesn’t sound like it’s on the radar to be added to the app, at least based on the bot-like responses to the suggestion so far.1

Our team is actively looking into ways to incorporate something like this! I know at times it can be disappointing if you don't see your suggestions come to life, but please know we are always looking at ways to enhance the app.1 -

Well that is very disappointing. Thank you for letting me know that this has been suggested many times previously. Such a bummer because it really would improve the logging experience.2

I'm shocked this doesn't exist yet - an app like this touts that it helps people loose weight and track macros, but how on earth are you supposed to hit your targets if you don't plan out your day in advance? And then even the best laid plans some times change. I miss sides or toppings/condiments sometimes, because I can't check off the elements as I add them to my bowl/plate. Plus? I want to see my adherence metric - I planned this, but I ate this - I followed my plan only 75% of the time. I will add - I have been using apps like this since my son was born in 2002 - for at least 18 of those years I was not a fan of MFP, and it was only in the last few years that they lured me away from Spark People. Spark since their inception had free suggested meal plans (based on your preferences such as low sodium, vegetarian, etc), shopping lists, create and share recipes, ANNNDDD - this feature that we are asking for on this thread, plan your day, then check off the foods as consumed. So - here is my suggestion to MFP - since Spark People merged with 2 other companies in 2021and dropped a lot of these features — Go find the developers who created it in 2002 and hire them!
