On vacation I had a medical emergency. I'm dealing with that now and it is not something I anticipated. I had a good and motivating couple of weeks lifting weights and running. All stop.
My future is this with parts and pieces failing and falling off....and hopefully a bunch more good stuff too. I'm going to keep following along, and as soon as I get some clearance I'll be starting back up again.

In the meantime, I want to get this out publicly for some accountability. I'm dropping the weight. I'm logging here in MFP.

I dropped 10-15 lbs last year and that simply is not good enough. I think 52lbs is smarter, about 1 lbs/week. Follow my food diary, or anything else you think would help me stay on track and be accountable.

    Ya'll are the best.

    Hang in there, Chris!

You are doing great with this weather @Teresa502 . I, too, am hoping this is the worst of it. 35F felt rather pleasant this afternoon.

Nice running @SummerSkier . Sorry about the bruise on your foot. And, yes, lesson learned for you, I think. We have piliated woodpeckers here too. They are so big. It's funny that they can be chased away by smaller birds. As for the tracker, I haven't been able to get it to work for me for a couple of years...at all. It started with having to start from scratch every time and now I just keeps reloading the tickers and I can't pick one. I quit trying.

Sorry to hear about the medical emergency @chris_in_cal . I hope whatever it was, you heal from quickly...and I really hope it wasn't a part falling off. Now that we don't have the newsfeed, how would I go about following your food diary - if that is going to help you lose. I never made mine public because I am NOT one to eat the best foods and didn't want to be a bad influence on anyone.

@WarmJellyfish I'm glad you fall wasn't anything major. That looks like a killer elevation workout. You are doing great with the exercise...much better than you were expecting before you left. Lovely pictures.

Nice longer run @tarun_yadavA . Hope it didn't aggravate the foot.

Great running @Laurz9191 . Glad you were able to get outside this morning.

Great run yesterday @Teresa502 . It's amazing how good 35F, or 25F, and feel after a week at 10F. LOL

@rusgolden I hope you can get out for some runs soon. It's warming up here too. I also hope your jeep repair isn't too extensive.

@chris_in_cal Glad you aren't going to be away from running for too long.

Welcome @brnlow . Sounds like you have a great plan. Slow and steady.

Nice running @kgirlhart . Sorry about the Garmin issues though. I hope it was a one time glitch.

You are doing great @Emilienewme . It was very nice of you to volunteer for your Park Run. I hope the knee issue is just from the cold and not anything more sinister.

@martaindale I hope you can figure out a plan that works for you and keeps you motivated.

Milestone distance run today for me 13.5 miles. Not sure why but I guess it felt nice out in the 40's and I was dressed well for it so I just kept going. Never really thought i would run further than 10 or 11 at a time but the half called to me today altho I was struggling to remember the exact distance - had to think marathon is 26.6 so half of that....😂😏😳🤪 Anyway, I hope I can walk later - will be stretching and doing a walk later today.
