Oh poor girl. Sleep is so important to keep up going! I have problems getting mind settled down at night and staying down. My doctor told me to try an herbal supplement that is called valerian root. It smells TERRIBLE but it works AWESOME and it isn't addicting and doens't give you that "hangover" feeling the next day. I take 2 to 4 everynight, depending on the brand that I am using. But it works and it is cheap as well.
YOU are doing great! If it makes any consolation I had three chocolate chip cookies last night....Man they are high in cals, I am NOT going to make them anymore for my fam until I get a little more self control. I was proud that I actually put it on my food diary like a good little girl
Keep going thats the only way to get anywhere:happy:0 -

:flowerforyou: Good Morning All,
:flowerforyou: Jackie, I know about being quiet while house cleaning:grumble: . Not easy, Good thing he can’t hear as well. Lol.
Hey, just as :flowerforyou: Katherine said, it is only one day. Take it easy today and start again. That is the secret. We just can’t do it everyday. I hope you got the sleep you needed and get your rest. Hope to hear from you.
I have to say, I have messed up so much and sometimes I feel like a "broken record" because I am on here saying again and again. "I messed up, I will try again." BUT, it is working, IT IS A SLOW PROCESSES. But, I am doing it. This morning, I went into my closet, pulled out a pair of pants with tags on it that I had bought 2 years ago, Size: 12 misses. I was surprised that I could zip them and if the side pockets did not bulge a little, they would have looked great. My tummy needs work. BUT, if I did not keep going and stay on track for this past year, I just know I would have been in size 18's. So, just keep on going even if you feel like you sound like a "broken record". Boy, that is an old saying now, isn't it.
Go Jackie we need you!!!
:flowerforyou: Katherine. You are funny. Sorry, about your boring date. Funny.
Enjoy your exercise training and have a great sunny happy day. You sound like a very happy person.
:flowerforyou: Kathy
Afternoon Kathy... :flowerforyou:
Thanks, im a happy person generally... the only thing that gets me down is men! lol (the sheer lack of personality the one i saw last night had)  - Ill tell you the awkward silences were horrible!!
... oh and another thing that gets me down.. the fact that my dad (of all people) tells me my mum o(50 years old at the end of the month) had to take a pregnancy test on monday :noway: lol... ok its nice to know they still love each other etc etc... but they are having more sex than me... :grumble: ha ha.. im sorry i had to share it with somone... but telling your 20 year old daughter is not cool whatsoever!!:grumble:
Ohh well:laugh:  Apart from that ill keep smiling! Out tonight with friends from work so its another alcohol night.. i promise i dont normally drink during the week... but we are celebrating an 18th Birthday!! :drinker: :drinker: Whoopiiee!!
So yes, thats my day in a nutshell... Nearly home time so i will love you and leave you all and hope u all have had successful days :flowerforyou:
Katherine -x-0 -
Hi all :flowerforyou:
I had a great day yesterday, I stayed at home and pottered about - see I jut can't keep still LOL.
I went to bed early last night - 9pm :blushing: but hey, I got 8 hours sleep!!! Only thing is... I was wide awake at 5am!!!!!!!!! :grumble:
I have been good with my calories and exercising, so I thought I'd step on the scale this morning, and, luckily for me I didn't cry  I've lost .... ya know what, I'm not gonna say, my weigh in day is Sunday, so you can all wait
I'm going walking again today - I love knitting, and there's a suppermarket in the next town that has got some wicked wool in, so I'm going there to buy some today - I'm knitting my own cardigans for winter - I'm an 18 now, so I'm knitting size 14 cardigans - a bit more insentive :drinker:
Also, there's a new shop opened up in town that I am just dying to go to, although, it will be packed, and I don't really do crowds, so I might see how the land lies on my way through.
I'll be back later - not sure when, as got to take my son to collect his new glasses from the opticians today - he got a designer pair free !!!! :drinker:0 -
Hi Everyone,
Jackie, glad to hear about the loss but know what you mean that weigh in day is Saturday. The same happen to me - after having a couple down days mentally on the whole thing I stepped on the scale thinking I would be bummer but the scale has went down YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will share on weigh in day of Saturday. I manage to push myself and walk another mile on the treadmill 2.33 miles already today.
Was good to read about everyone else - keep up the good work. Have a good day all.0 -
Morning All,
I had a good day with my calories and exercise.
Didn't get much sleep. Last night I notice my beagle had a swollen snout. I couldn't believe how big it was. I called the vet, it was late but he did call back. He told me to give him benadryl every 5 hours. So needless to say I did not get much sleep worrying and dispersing the meds.
This morning he still has swelling so I am going to take him to the vets this morning. He seems to be acting fine but the snout looks just so big.
Boy, I am struggling not to eat just from pure nerves. I get so bad like that.
Hope all is well, I'll check back later.
:flowerforyou: Kathy0 -
Wish me luck- after a full day at work with hormone filled teenagers, I am off to the woods with just the female type hormone filled teenagers. I have one that makes most drama queens look weak. The best thing about the weekend is the limited amount of food that is with us. I planned the meals for myself and co-leader so they are all "good" for me. The Girls get the high calorie stuff, if they can figure out what to do with what I give them. Like Survivor, they are getting a box of ingredients and no recipes. Let's see if they can make a meal :ohwell:
Sometimes it is hard to believe that I signed on for this willingly 8 years ago and I willingly started a Venture Crew Tuesday (Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts combined ages 14-20yo)
I know that I am out of my mind!:bigsmile:0 -
Good Luck, Hope you have a good time!
An hour of swimming this afternoon should do the trick  for me today! lots of yummy foods on the agenda today!
Hope everyone has a lovely day!
(And i just had a thought this morning with the girl at work - i havent even had one little bit of chocolate this week, only one slice of carrot cake and no sweets) i cant belive it!! thats a first.. and if im being honest i havent even thought about it!! How good!!!
so heres looking to a healthy weekend full of good choices! :flowerforyou:0 -
I hope your sweet little beagle is ok Kathy!!!
They poor baby!!! I know I worry alot too when my animals are sick.
I had an ok day yesterday. I didn't get a super good workout only some pilates. I went over my calories but I think that I needed them. I don't htink that my calories are enough, how do you know? I was so tired yesterday that I dozed while reading to my son!!!! I had a piece of whole wheat toast with a tbsp of peanut butter. That gave me a boost, so that tells me that I might need more cals....am I crazy??
I might not have had a great workout but I kept busy with the house.
Today I am going to brave the elements of a minnesota *spring* a dusting of snow this morning, and go for a walk/jog. Then do my weightloss yoga.
I have to make rice krispy treats for my sons school....mmmmmmmmm wish me luck please!!! I will be STRONG!!!! I will NOT EAT ONE...I wont i wont i wont!!!!
Hope you girls have a good healthy day!
Kathy---- HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGG---- I hope your beagle gets better!!

oh I hit post before I finished!
Jackie Glad that you had a good nights sleep and the loss too! YIPEEEEEEEEEE:glasses:0 -
Good Morning Everyone!
Jackie, I have been meaning to ask about the dog I hope everything is okay.
Jenny, I hope you made it through the rice krispies trreats - I don't know whether I could do it.
Well this morning is weigh in day and after sneaking on the scale yesterday and having had a 2.5 weight loss, I hated to do it this morning. But I did, Jackie I weigh in at 201 pounds this week. I feel lucky and fortunate to have lost 3.5 pounds this week - I keep to my calories and get some good walking in but I mentally don't feel like I am doing enough different types of exercise. So I am a little emotional right now to see another pound down and feel like I am slacking on the exercise.
I am going to continue to challenge on the water this week - I get six t o 7 glasses in but maybe once or twice this week 8. I am going to continue the five days of walking, being up to 4 miles on Friday and I am going to add the challenge of getting in my Leslie Sansone tapes three times this week. That is all the tapes I have right now.
Thanks for reading everyone and for all the encouragement on this tread. I know this site has help me over 110 % to stay dedicated, committed and to work at it.
Hope everyone has a good day!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Thank you for all the kinds messages:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Bosco is doing much better. His swelling is almost gone. The vet put him on amxicillin to help get rid of the swelling. The vet said Bosco, might have got bitten from a bee. If the swelling does not go down completely by the week end the vet wants to do some test. That nose of Bosco's can sure get him into trouble.
Today is a new day and I am back on track and ready to go.
All have a great Morning!!!
:flowerforyou: Kathy0 -
:smooched: :smooched: :smooched: :smooched: give bosco those please:bigsmile:

Hello everyone - glad to hear everyone ok :flowerforyou:
Kathy, I'm sooo glad that Bosco is ok, bee stings are nasty at the best of times :flowerforyou:
Well done everyone - sounds like this week really was a good one for all of us :drinker:
I will get round to seeing how lost the most weight, probably tomorrow or Monday, been really hectic here, and to top it all off, my brother has announced he wants to come see me - I haven't seen him for 10 years, last time he stayed long enough to gulp down a coffee and left, but I ended up with the fall out, I don't get on with my mom, basically, she doesn't like my hubby - I haven't spoken to her for around 12 years now, as she is constantly medling, and putting my sisters down, and then goes back and runs me down to them. :noway:
I've told my brother I won't be at home that week - I feel guilty but I can't cope with the fall out again.
Anyway, I went for a long walk yesterday, didn't feel like it but forced myself, then today my hubby took me and the boys to a couple of car boot fairs, and after I went and bought a hamster (I'm a big softy where animals are concerned :blushing: ).0 -
Morning guys :flowerforyou:
I woke up to a wonderful mother's day
Both my sons bought me a dozen roses each, and a box of chocolates - which I've hidden in the fridge, hoping I don't over indulge myself :blushing:
Weigh-in day: I've lost another 4lbs this week - must be all that walking, the tops of my legs ache this morning though  I'm now down to 205lbs, boy I can't wait to get under 200lbs  I got into a pair of 3/4 length trousers that were too tight when I bought them a year ago - I have to pull in the draw strings now :drinker:
I've got one of those bun and thigh toner machines to pick up this evening - a friend of a friend no longer wants it, so I'll be trying it out later
going for a nice walk in the country side today - and yes, I am taking my dog (Storm), hubby and youngest son are coming with me
Hope everyone has a great day :flowerforyou:0 -
Sorry I have not been on the post. Thanks to all for thinking of Boscoflowerforyou flowerforyou
We had some sad news this week end. My husbands brothers son of 38 died suddenly. My husband had drifted apart from his brother and was heart broken when he found out. So we have been reuniting and it has been helping with the shock and sadness.
Hope all are doing well and I will get back to you all soon.

Good morning everyone...
I hope all is well?
I had another blow out on the weekend... but i have decided not to get hung up about it... thats what my weekdays are for.. to be good and controlled!!
I have once again planned ahead my whole week of exercise and food... i did great last week sticking to it so im going to give it another shot this week!
Kathy - im sorry to hear about your loss, my thoughts are with you.. :flowerforyou:
Jackie - Sounds like you had a lovely mothers day and congrats on the 4lbs weight loss... :drinker:
Katherine0 -
Kathy - I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, he was so young too.
I'm here if you want to talk, I completely understand why you've not been posting - no harm done, just concentrate on looking after you and yours in your hour of need hun :flowerforyou:
Katherine - I've given up on weekends, they are there to sabotage all the good you do all week - and I'm sure of it
I did have a great day yesterday, and only ate 6 of the chocolates before handing the rest of the box over to the rest of the family :drinker:
Back to reality this morning, housework, bills, exercise etc. I've had my walk - hour and a half, going to sort out my home gym today - with any luck I can't keep having my gym equipment in doors, takes up sooo much room. I'm hopig to clear out my summer house - which has been used for storage for a while and convert it into a gym.
Anyway, here's to a healthy week - I'll start up the week 3 thread under motivation & support a bit later, whe I get chace to :happy:0 -
oh KATHY I am sorry for your and your families loss! Keep you in our prayers! HUGGGGGGGGG0

Jackie that sounds like an awesome idea, I have a super tiny house and no room for any equipment but I do have a "bigger shed outside.....you have given me a thought....right now for cardio machines and what not I go to my sis in laws. It works pretty good, that way we get a visit, both excersise and motivate each other. But sometimes I wish I had an eliptical here....
Good job on the weight loss!!! and thanks for letting me be here!!!!!

Thanks Jenny :flowerforyou:
Sorry to hear you didn't lose last week, but hey, its fab that you didn't gain either :drinker:
I used to have an elliptical - but due to lack of space I gave it away, and then as an after thought, realised I could use my summer house for it - as I don't sit out there much anyway - wish I'd have thought about it before hand :grumble:
Both my sos love using my equipment so that'll mean we can motivate each other and save a lot of gym fees :drinker:0 -
We're over on week three now guys - click on my link below and I'll see ya there :flowerforyou:0
