SOS! What’s going on? I’m down to 1700 calories a day, high water, high protein and lower carbs. I’m heavy and I’m surprised I’m not losing. Thoughts?

If you’ve been logging honestly and accurately since you joined in October, then your calories are either set too high, you’ve got logging issues, or exercise credit is too high and you’re eating back more exercise calories than you should be.
Are you logging every day? Every bite? You’ve lost zero versus not losing as fast as social media would believe is possible?
Otherwise, might be time to see your doctor.
If you have access to a dietician, find one well versed with MFP. My gym’s dietician (NOT nutritionists- anyone selling anything can call themselves a nutritionist) actually referred me to MFP. When I did a recent brush up after several years on my own, her replacement knew the app inside out and made instant recommendations.
My health plan also gave me access to free phone visits with a staff dietician.
Make a list of questions in advance to use your time wisely.1 -
Still not losing is something else okay but it works with mindset too. But take your mind if there you will be fine..and surprisingly you will start observing you losing more than you think.0

Also suggest the NSV thread, pinned to the top of the Success Stories board.
NSV means NonScale Victory.
I’ve read every single one of those thousands of posts. That thread more than any other was responsible for helping me see change the scale didn’t show.0 -
if you are 360 pounds and only eating 1700 calories a day. I assumed you are 40 years old and 5'6" tall. 1700 calories puts you in the extreme weight loss bracket. The weight would be falling off. Either your logging is not accurate or you need to see a doctor and have some test run.
Are you weighing your food? Eyeballing it doesn't count. Are you counting drinks? You have to be honest with yourself for it to work. I would also recommend you eating more than 1700 calories a day. Your skin simply cannot adjust to losing weight fast. It is already likely that you will have loose skin, but a slower loss will help that as much as possible.
