I have to order some smaller leggings which is a good thing I guess..im in a size 14 I think maybe a 12 , where to look for them is another story.5 -
@SophieRosieMom thank you! I accepted your request. I will try to remember to send stats on sundays.
@Whidislander , sunny Florida! That’s why the pineapples grow so well! If you are in a northern state, a greenhouse might work on growing these lovelies. I will continue to post as they grow!
I forget to sign my name to these posts sometimes, sorry 😊

I saw this earlier today and thought it was helpful information!5 -
The Michael's store in my town provides the service for returning prepaid Amazon and UPS packages so I go in there often. The store is so festive, clean, friendly, and full of interesting displays that when I walk in, even just to the desk at the front, I have a feeling that there must be something there I should be buying. As an intentional shopper, I don't buy anything but I see it as such an inviting place for people who like crafts and decorating.
I am keeping ahead of the procrasticlutter (meals, laundry, dog walking, paying bills, etc..) but not doing much more beyond that. I feel paralyzed and capable of doing little more than watching TV, knitting, and riding my exercise bike. I have moments when I want to get rid of everything in the house beyond the few things I use every day. I know that is crazy so I do nothing.

Debbie in Napa Valley CA - 150.6 but was wearing pj's so will say 150.0 Same as last week.
Rita in Roswell NM - Up again this week. I’m still giving in to my mood. I know what I need to do, I just have to get the ambition to do it!
Kylia in Ohio - I am frustrated. Scale said 136.2. It read 135.1 all week! I have met protein goals most days. I have exercised at least 30 mins most days. I have been close to calorie recommended most days. Sugar has been close to recommended. Steps close to 10k most days and zone minutes around 30 most days. So being discouraged I took measurements! really bad idea! No wonder I can't get my jeans on! I have added 1.5 in to hips, 1.5 in to belly, and 1 in to waist. So other than crying ..... 1) I am going to buy a couple of pairs of lined stretch leggings and a couple tunic style shirts to get me through winter. 2) Redirect concentration to water intake 3) Keep prepping food at home as much as possible. 4) NOT GOING BACK TO NICOTINE! 5) Leaning on all of you to get me through this! Much love, Kylia
Barbara on the Southern Oregon Coast – ugh. Weight this morning 134.9 highest since June. CI & sugar off the charts, steps in the pits, thank goodness for BB&B and line dancing. Gonna pretend it's a new month ;}
Sue in WA - Made chair yoga but not water exercise last week. I was trying to hit my protein goal for 3 days last week. For some reason getting in the amount of protein they say I should have is hard for me and my gut apparently did not like the sudden increase. I am going to try to focus more on protein but not necessarily to meet their goals.
Lanette in SW WA State – after some ups and downs, weight settled down to 160.25 # on Saturday which is “weigh-in day.” Step average 8757 this week, quite a jump from last week – more trips outside to shovel snow, a bigger shopping “experience” at Walmart from one end to the other. Total activity minutes – 290. Still house walking, 10-15 minutes at a time, carrying weights.
Keep up the good work everyone!
I'm down a tiny bit more ... down 4.1 kg (9 lbs) since Christmas.

Well, it’s Monday now. Did Kathy Smith’s Fat Burning W/O DVD, went to Aldi, then to the church’s thrift store. Took a walk to the indoor flea market to see what’s going on there. Not impressed with the market. Had dinner and went to WalMart.
Lisa – wonder if the HL down here does that. Now Publix by me has a senior day where you get 10% off. But the Publix down here doesn’t have it. Go figure. With all the senior citizens maybe they figure they’d lose too much money.
At WM the eggs were almost $6 a dozen. They aren’t that much at Aldi ($5 and change) so I’ll just wait until I go there again. Made HB eggs today which is why I’ll need another dozen
Tracey – Looks like Aspen has a good outlet for all her energy
Lanette – I’m getting another quote for the bathroom. He’s coming Wed. I do need to get the bathroom remodeled so there’s no sense in getting the toilet fixed when we’ll be getting a new one anyway. I’ll just not use that toilet and keep the buckets there until it’s replaced.
On death of mothers: I can’t believe it’s been 60 years
Craft stores: I like ones where the people working there can help you with your craft, they are knowledgeable. I, too, would rather pay a bit more for better quality. You get what you pay for
Really windy here today so I couldn’t lay out by the pool. Maybe tomorrow
Jess had an interview in Charlotte so she stayed at our house. The water was shut off but she knew it so she brought a jug of water with her. She called last night to ask if there was anything to eat. I had to tell her all the things in the freezer.
Cindy – how long will it be until you have pineapples to eat?
Rebecca – love that you hugged those people

[][/b]Barbie: Let me assure you you're doing fine at this stage of your new chapter. It takes time...
Proud of myself for making it safely over 77 miles of snowy messy roads and crazy white out conditions at the 10k feet to arrive safely at Snow Mountain Ranch on Tabernash, CO. It normally is a 1.5 hours from my home but today it was 4 hours. Grateful for my Subaru's amazing grip in slush and snow. Now just chilling and will have fun tomorrow skating and snow shoeing.
Stay well friends. We can do this.

I think they came for my samples too. I would tell them to do a lap around the store and I would have new stuff out. Its wasn't a big store maybe 12 isles. I think for some people I was their main food source. This one gentleman was homeless but he tried his best, always spoke very politely. He would ask how I made it, sip some of my coffee, and walk around like he was shopping (but I knew he wasn't). The sad thing was that he would ask politely for a sample for his wife. I would see him walking around the city, and it was always alone, so he did it so have a little extra and kind of pretend he had his wife with him maybe. One day I saw him sitting on a bench outside a salad restaurant place. It was one where you could have them make you up a big salad by choosing the options, and then take your tray to pay. After paying you had free range of the other things, ice cream machine, soups, pastas. I was there with a girlfriend and I bought a meal for the guy outside. I went out and gave him the receipt and he smiled big. Before he stood in line, he asked to use the restroom and he was in there a long time just trying to be presentable. I had another worker there check on him. Poor guy hopefully I didn't overwhelm him by doing that.

Nice! I am envious! Our island gets summer for about a week June or July, then its normally 60's summer, 50's fall and 30/40's winter. We have sun but there is no heat with it! Lights on but no ones hoooome! As I get older heat is really becoming a thing for me. As a past nudist in CA I do miss walking in the sun sans clothes. I know there are a lot of nudist resorts in Florida! But you guys have unique bugs, which is like a personal terror for me. I am odd, probably a bit OCD about things. I did visit your fine state when I went on a Norwegian Cruise line cruise to St Thomas and other places. You know they have a Nude Cruise line? Scary eh? Its a bunch of old naked people for the most part, but you do have to be clothed when the ship is at port. Lol!

Lisa - A “corker” what a fun word to describe Miss Aspen. She was upset with her mom yesterday and wouldn’t let her hold Matilda, only Kaitlyn or I could. Until she had her nap, then she wanted mom when she woke up.
It’s going to be fun watching those two as she ages.
Machka - I like the ladder. Did you make it or buy it?
Lanette - I think those old spring type scales are much more accurate than digital. My digital scale can change up to 5lbs based on where it sits on the floor. I have a marking on my floor that I use for placement.
Barbie - I find I don’t shop Michael’s as much as I used to. Their selections are really poor. I shop at a local scrapbook store and online for those supplies. We don’t have Hobby Lobby or Joanne’s here.
Rita - I hope you catch a break soon. I say vent away. Everyone needs someone to vent to.
Debbie - I’m happy for you to read that your DH’s anger has lessened a bit.
I can’t wait until the day you post that he was happy and treated you properly.
Heather - what a cute outfit you chose for Bea.
Aspen wants to climb everything, instead of trying to curb it they have given her lots of equipment and structures to make it safe for her.
These young parents just encourage the kids to be themselves rather than try to change them. I love it.
I fixed my record player today. I need to play it more often. I love the sound of vinyl.
Rebecca - I break my noodles in half too. I also had a lazy day.
Kaitlyn gave me a recipe for the slow cooker yesterday. I’m going to try it this week. She makes it with mashed potatoes.1 pkg - Beef tips
Brown gravy mix x2
French Onion soup mix
Beef broth
Pepper
Low for 4-6 hours
She specifically said not to try high, it didn’t make the beef tender enough.
Barbie - I think not doing anything but the necessities is important for you at this point in your life. It must be needed, I’m happy to read you’re listening to your body.
I talked to my sweet MIL today for an hour and a half. I very rarely get those calls out of her anymore because she is always more concerned what others in the house are doing but they all stayed out of the room today. It was so nice. I love her so much and I miss our long talks.
She sounded happy and good, she sees a specialist on March 11th about her leg pain that the local doctor believes is a broken stent and is also what is causing her arteries issues.
I hope they can come up with an answer. She had the original surgery for the stents in 1995 because she had no blood flow to her feet. She barely survived it, I hope the medical technology has come far enough to be able to help her without that major surgery. I honestly don’t think they would attempt it.
I then dusted in the living and swept the house through. I should have scrubbed but couldn’t bring myself to do it.
I think I could afford a cleaner I would have them scrub and clean the bathtub regularly. Then twice a year do a deep clean including the oven. It needs it terribly right now.
I am really enjoying The Voice this season. I hope Michael Buble becomes a regular, he’s got quite the sense of humour and you know Canadian.🍁😉
Back to work tomorrow, I think I’m going to book a Friday or Monday off in mid March. There won’t be a long weekend again until Good Friday which is April 18 so that will be a long stretch without a long weekend.
I have 4 weeks of holidays, plus personal days and sick days so I can afford a day.
Well I should sign off before I write a novel.

@Whidislander , no need to be jealous! 🥰 you probably have gotten quite acclimated to the weather up there!
I just enjoy growing things. We also have grown habanero peppers.
We tried a go at canteloupes and watermelons for the second time around last year and unfortunately the bugs got them. 🥲3 -

I have heard gardeners plant some for the bugs then others for themselves. Bugs will go to your bug plant and leave the other alone. My sister plants in raised beds with a bricks base and galvanized containers. She has a lot of animals that can get at plants.
She does a lot of canning! She has also experimented using hay bales to plant her potatoes. She said it was interesting, but she probably wouldn't do it again.

Hello, or good early morning, my wonderful friends,
When I got home at 8:00 am after talking to DH the moment I got in the car at the garage in the hospital to my home. I was exhausted. After each night I worked, I could not get up promptly with the alarm. I just wanted to sleep more. I did not get any exercise done. I did get money, but I almost closed my rings at work. I had a student with me, which still didn't lighten the load. Usually, I get to go home at 7:24 am. This week, it has been 7:45 to 8:00 am. That mom is back and raised such a fuss that she didn't get me last weekend, that I got her. It is hard to please her.
I went to 6 floors, the first floor by the stairs, to get my steps in to find a particular hospital gown she liked for her daughter and ostomy bags. Then she told me I was stingy about the amount I brought back. I told her that I got the amount they allowed me to get. Then, my student had to hear her history. Then, when I was trying to teach her how to use our pumps, she said we were not listening to her. I told her that she had repeatedly told us the same thing. I told her that I do not walk and chew bubble gum at the same time and that I need to focus on what med we are giving her daughter. Then I gave her an assignment to write her feelings on paper, and then she could prove that the events that led her daughter to be so critical were not her fault. My poor student questioned if she could be as patient with people as a nurse. Then I had a call from another parent, and I told her I had to go. She asked me not to leave her. I told her the parent could not be with her baby and needed to know how he was doing. I told my student that we had to give the other patient their meds first cause that mom is picky, too. I was requested by the picky mom, too.
Then, my 8-month-old, without a parent at the bedside, likes to play, take myself off of the vent, and see the people run to my room. So, I met with the student instructor and management on Monday morning. Who apologized for my assignment, but some nurses made a big mistake, and that was the only way to appease that parent. I noticed everyone was talking, going to lunch, and playing on their phone while we were running. I had to eat and chart. ( I am so sorry for venting like mad to you all). The
main point is that I am exhausted. No energy to exercise, but today I will. Currently, I am hobbling along. My right hip is bothering me. I had migraines the past three days as well. I had to use ice packs with meds to sleep and wake up relieved. The cold weather is back in Mississippi. We had high winds and tornado alerts, which was cold for us. We will go as low as the 20s with a high in the 30s. It is -7 in Chicago. I believe Egg is correct, Lisa; six more weeks of winter. Rose thought I was going somewhere this morning because my warmer jammies looked like regular clothes. So when I was returning a call to my friend, she barked and paced. So, I let her out and then told her that the only place I was going was to bed. She calmed down when I laid down.
Beth, I agree with your opinion of JoAnnes Fabric. I wonder if these young people understand that with customer satisfaction, people will return to keep their jobs. If people stop buying from your store, they go under, and you no longer have a job. I love to feel the product that I am buying as well. I do love Michaels, and they are so helpful.
Lisa, I am considering taking collagen, especially since I failed the pinch test on my neck. However, it can be pricey. Some influencers sent me a link to one that I saved for later. I do apply collagen to my skin, but I need more support. Lisa another thing we have in common is that we both did fertility treatment to get pregnant. My DS is the only one I was able to carry close to full term. I lost Alexandra at 21weeks. Julia came next and now she is a work in progress.
Kylia, I haven't skated in years but would love to. I loved to roller skate , ice skate, and rollerblade.
Your kittens are getting so big and it sounds like they are busy.
Well, I better close now for I am so exhausted, that I am falling a sleep. Have a wonderful day.
Xo,
Mo in Mississippi

Totally overstimulated last night. Sleeping was a fail. When I did sleep my dream was horribly frustrating and enervating. But, it's a new day and the sun is shining on my bed.
Barbie - You are still in the very early stages of grief. All you can really expect to do is cope. Barely. In the old days we wore 'widow's weeds' for a year at least. I think it's nearer two years for life to take on it's natural colours again.
Mo - I have no idea how one person can bear all that you do. I don't suppose that when people go into nursing, that they anticipate that it's the parents who will be the most trouble and stress.I can't thank you enough for your patience. Now rest. Just rest.
I did a Waitrose order this morning. Coming tomorrow tea time. We have Max for lunch tomorrow. I think editing is off the table for today. Just .....relax ........
I'm not even dressed yet. I have started yoghurt in the IP, and got duck legs out of the freezer. Mainly to use up the huge packet of brussel sprouts that are a good accompaniment.
G returns from Madeira today. I believe she had a great time. Solo trip, which can be a bit daunting for some, but she was saying she'd like to return.
Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx4 -
My work gave me the day off for all the extra work I've put in recently.
I slept in.
I cooked up 1 kg of chicken mince.
I took my husband for his follow-up appointment with the surgeon. His incision is healing really nicely.
I took my husband for his appointment with the physiotherapist and he is now in a moonboot with 2 lifts so it's almost like he's in a wedge heel. He can put 25% of his body weight on the foot now and he can do a few exercises a couple times a day without the boot, but that's it. They are taking a very gradual approach. All up, it will likely be 9 months before his Achilles tendon is fully healed. That came as a bit of a shock to him.
I cut up veggies and put the chicken and the veggies into the slow cooker for dinner.
I went for a longish walk on a cool, very windy afternoon.
I took Rhody for a walk.
I put together dinner.
I cleaned the kitchen.
I also coloured and read.
Tomorrow, I go back to work.
