Hi everyone,
@Rainbow2300, Sorry to hear about the troubling dizziness symptoms. Is your blood pressure okay? I had dizziness for a few days late last year and it turned out I had an ear infection. It might be a good idea to see a doctor, if you can, just to try to figure out what's going on. Best wishes!🌟
Dear Donna @deepwoodslady, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend! That's got to be so hard. I am also a stress eater and this just adds an extra layer of challenge that makes it difficult to stay strong. The worst feeling is helplessness when you are unable to ease the pain of someone you love or make them better! It's so very sad and I will definitely say a prayer for your beloved friend, Diane!🙏🏻 I'm glad you are there to comfort her and hopefully ease her passing.3 -
Intro: I am 43 years old, 5'2" with a starting weight of 146 lbs. With being petite, EVERY pound is a battle. I have three little kids - ages 4, 6, and 8 -- and my hubby travels for work. So, cooking heathy meals the kids will actually eat, as well as trying to find time to exercise are struggles for me.

Weekly Update We went out of town this past weekend, so I am glad to see I maintained. My goal for this next week is to see that scale MOVE. I have not had a very productive February...

Wow, @alwixon - that's pretty impressive, maintaining while out of town! I've been basically maintaining at 153 since January 1st. I want to scale to move too (DOWNWARD, that is!) I know what you mean about every pound being a battle - I am only 5'3". Best wishes!💖 (Carole)3

...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out since we have our Grandson every morning. He's 2 years old and a pistol!!

I forgot to weigh on Wednesday, and I haven't been able to get on here and update until now, but here's where I am! Even though I haven't been updating consistently, I think it's still been helpful to be a part of this challenge!

I was on vacation this past week, so ai am pleased with myself that I gained less than 2 lbs! That is progress for me!! Usually I would gain 5 lbs or more!
So, back to the routine and back to the grind. Just do it!

@Walela617 I hadn’t seen your reply. Thank you for being a friend! 😉 I recently had a physical. Nothing unusual showed in my blood work and no ear issues. (I too thought dizziness a factor) It’s better today but I need to be careful bending over. If it continues- I’ll do more tests. I really want to get back to working out!! This has been the longest Feb.winter. There’s so much to do to get ready for Spring!!! Let’s go!!! 😉1

Hi everyone,
I promised to be absolutely honest; so here goes: Both my Wednesday AND Thursday weights showed 155 on the scale. That's actually 2 lbs. MORE than when I started! I still think I can lose another 5-6 lbs. by the first day of Spring, but we'll see. It's horrible how just two, careless days can wipe out FIVE, very careful days, but there it is, especially since I haven't been doing much activity. I've got the winter doldrums, I guess. I'm SO tired of all the layers!
Wishing you all a very nice weekend,
💞Carole5 -
Hi @rainbow2300, I'm glad you're feeling a little better. My son is prone to sinus infections, and whenever he gets it he has dizziness as well, but it sounds like you have no other symptoms. When my friend Mary was experiencing vertigo (feeling like she was drunk and unsteady and slightly nauseous), she went to Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. There was apparently some kind of fluid imbalance in her inner ear; so they actually strapped her to a table and tilted her upside-down for awhile and guess what? It worked! She compared it to "motion sickness". It's amazing that this treatment actually helped her! I'm glad you're not having any ear issues, though.
I'm with you! I'm so ready for Spring but there's so much to do!🌷2 -

I identify with all of that. I've been stumbling around like a drunk. I thought it might be sinus because of all the weather changes. Last night a big piece of dry wax fell out of my ear--I didn't feel it, but it was big enough I saw it. Today I'm walking straight.
I also have bend-over disease. Bend over, I get sick and dizzy--feel like I’m gonna pass out. Stand up, I'm well.
Seems like dizzy is one of those symptoms that can mean anything 🤔.3 -
@Walela617 @Corina1143 I appreciate the responses. I actually thought it could be some kind of virus.🤷🏻♀️ That’s exactly how I’d describe it, walking like I’m drunk and I don’t really drink at all! 🤪 Maybe I’m drinking way too much water? Being older, I thought may be I was low on iron or potassium? Not to self diagnose, but I usually take vitamins, ran out, and kept forgetting to replenish. I’ve noticed a decline in vitamins supplements available at stores. Im curious, have others on here noticed this as well in your area?2

Yes. Walmart has less and less. My cvs has reorganized shelves, so everything is so much easier to find. Not sure if they have more, pretty sure not less. Local grocery stores and Target seem to not be replacing as much when they sell out.2 -
66 year old female. 5'2". I lost 50 pounds in 2016 and managed it until 2021. The pounds have slowly come back and it's time to get back to a lower healthier weight.

1/24: 159.6
2/1: 158.6 Back on the treadmill.
2/5: 156.8
2/8: 155.1
2/18: 161.1
2/22: 157.6
Bouncing back from vacation and a cold. Still having some stuffy head feelings but getting energy level back up. Walked on the treadmill for a while this morning.

Hi everyone,
I hope you're having a great day.
Hi, @Rainbow2300 , I haven't really noticed a shortage of supplements on shelves and stores because I generally buy from Amazon however I've no I've cut way back on purchasing supplements because my budget is really tight right now; so basically I just have multivitamins for senior women vitamin D and sleep gummies pretty much that's it.
I have to confess that I'm getting a little worried now, because I'm actually two pounds UP from January 1st; so I've got to get it in gear for these last few weeks in our challenge so that I can drop maybe another 5 lbs. by Spring.
I would be absolutely thrilled if I could get my weight down to 149 or less by March 20th, but at this rate, if I can even get down to 152 or maybe 150 I'll be happy. So...we'll see how it goes. (I'm not giving up though!) I'll have a better idea of what to expect by my next weigh-in on Wednesday, February 26th.
The lady from whom I adopted my cat is supposed to visit tomorrow so I need to spend most of today and probably this evening cleaning up and getting things ready for her.
Right now I'm on my second cup of coffee and I'm stalling, basically - so I've got to get moving very soon. Have a great weekend. I will check back soon.
