Don’t call it a comeback…

Hey all,

Phil here. I can tend to be long winded at times, so I’ll try to be brief… Used to be a member of MFP back in the day, about 16(ish) years or so ago… active member, fitness obsessed… but, to make a long story short: I got injured during Olympic lifting. Got to the point I stopped tracking my food, stopped being active, and stopped caring. Life spiraling out of control, just didn’t really care about any of it.

More recently, (about 6 years back) I finally dusted myself off and got my life back together, started working out again and eating better. Thought I was doing pretty well!…. Until last week. Went to my doc to get blood work done and she said “why didn’t you tell us you had diabetes?”

I was a bit confused… I asked what she meant and she said “you do know you have diabet-….. oh no…”

So…. Time to get my crap together. I started taking the gym more seriously, starting evaluating what I was actually eating, started picking up a vegetable once in a while, and ultimately decided to start counting my macros again to really keep track.

And that’s me. That’s why I’m here. I’m ready to start taking control of my life and my health and ready to learn how to handle and reduce my A1C…

If you read all that, thanks for your time, and please feel free to say hello!
