Yes, that’s correct. I remember buying that album from the discount bin. I bought it for the song “Hey You”. I think that’s the only real hit on it. But I did like the title track, “Four Wheel Drive”, and “Quick Change Artist”. It’s the only BTO album that I own that is not a greatest hits collection or compilation.

    You’re up.

Ok. I think maybe this song was done (probably by me) a few years ago.

    Same song, different title.

BTO + Rick Springfield = [songs]

I only know this because I heard the BTO song on a CD in about 1983 and it sounded super familiar.

BTO has a song called Rock Is My Life

Rick Springfield has a song called Rock of Life

Different songs with similar (but different) titles. Probably not what you're looking for. 🤥

Nope. I could give you one of the songs and you could come up with the other.

    BTO - Jamaica

    Rick Springfield - ???

I listened to BTO - Jamacia. I instantly recognized it as Kristina.

I have the Rick Springsteen album "Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet" that this song comes from. It's been a long time since I've listened to it.

I don't recall hearing the BTO song before. I looked the history up on Wikipedia. Interesting (to me) it is sung by Jim Clench, who was in an early incarnation of April Wine, a band I was a BIG fan of. Never knew he was in BTO. Also, interesting (to me), the song(s) was written by Jim Vallance, who cowrote some of the early Bryan Adams songs. I'm still learning.

*Springsteen Springfield. I should proofread what I write.

Rick Springfield did have a song about the name similarity

    Rick Springfield - "Bruce"

I've heard "Bruce" before. For me, it's hard to believe anyone would confuse the two of them. Only the letters in the names are similar.

But, did you know, Springfield is not his "real" name?

No, don't think I knew that. Springthorpe

I think if I ever set out to become a famous rock star, I'll take on the name Brick Fieldsteen.

Taking a detour from the Arithmetic game.

I was listening to Paul McCarney the other day and this thought came to me:

Name songs played on the radio as one song but are in fact two (or more) songs connected.

Venus and Mars/Rock Show - McCartney and Wings

We Will Rock You / We Are the Champions - Queen

I've read that Scenes From An Italian Restaurant by Billy Joel is more than two songs combined. It sure sounds good as one.

I'm running out of ideas and this might be kind of a cheat, but I always liked it. The transitions between are really cool and they sort of sing them in rounds. Pretty neat.

Pretty good. Never heard his cover of these songs before. I agree, nice transitions.

Side 2 Abbey Road medley consists of 8 songs always played together.
