Weight-loss shakes or powders

Any recommendations on meal replacement shakes, powders or tea to curb appetite? I'm constantly hungry and or just craving food comfort and I'm trying so hard to think about other things then food.

hello, what works for me is thinking what is that I’m really craving, for example if I think I want chips usually is because I’m craving the salt which could mean I’m craving magnesium. So instead I choose a healthier opción like a small bowl of popcorn or a handful of pistachios that have salt and I add magnesium to the supplements I take .

For actual hunger Greek yogurt with berries or a banana with almond butter are great snacks and lots of water throughout the day. Sometimes our body confuses hunger with thirst. I find that adding flavour and fun to my water helps me with the intake, sometimes I add lemon wheels with a bit of mint leafs.

You can do this, small changes consistently

Coffee and tea will both help curb appetite because of the caffeine. Caffeine is an appetite suppressant. Just please also remember not to undereat either.

A protein shake (NOT a meal replacement or weight loss shake) could maybe also help. Meal replacement or energy shakes are going to have too many calories, to the point that you might as well have eaten the actual food.

Try it. To be honest, I do prefer to eat solid calories because they fill me up more than shakes or other fluid things.

    agree with @yirara

shakes and powders have no mystique, no magic powers. Sure, you might have a fast loss, but chances are high you’ll regain when you start eating solid food.

Unless you see a liquid diet as a permanent solution?

Food you can chew is more satisfying and satiating. I do occasionally make a smoothie, but that’s when I’ve got stuff in the fridge to use up, have extra calorie that need to be used, or need to boost quantities of a particular nutrient or macro into my day.

Create a plan now, for slow steady loss, which you can continue into maintenance. Fast loss is a fast track to lose/gaine/lose/gain cycles.

Learning what and how to eat now is your secret weapon for continued success.

I would work on the root cause first. Why are you craving food comfort?

If you want an easy and fun way to eat your calories, do you like icecream? you could try halo top, which is apparently made from protein powder. Bars are good too, Quest has flavours like Cookie Dough, delicious!
