    03/17-192.2- (Trend Weight: 194.3) What in the heck is going on already? Another jump on the scale! 2 days in a row higher and both days I was in perfect numbers with calories and carbs! TMI good today. The only thing I can think of is that I got a brand new PC due to my Windows being outdated and not supported starting Oct 2025. I am sitting A LOT of sitting as I reorganize everything that was moved by memory stick from my old computer. Lack of movement and probably lack of water makes more difference than I even realized perhaps! Travel today for 6 month eye re-check with specialist after finding some serious things last fall. Long trip so there will be lots of sitting and restaurant food. I didn’t need this unexpected increase on the scale today! Happy St. Patrick’s day everyone! Stay safe and have some fun!

    πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€ 03/18-194.8- (Trend Weight: 193.4) I expected an increase due to the various typical travel reasons but HOLY COW! My son chose Golden Corral for dinner. Every single thing I put in my mouth tasted like the lid fell off the salt shaker. I could only eat a few bites of each thing due to the saltiness but it adds up apparently. Honestly, I think the main problem was that I spent too much time at the dessert bar. Coupled with all the sitting as it was a very long day trip (not home until well after dark), I shouldn’t expect anything less than what I got. Today will need to be a banner day. Prayers and excitement for our Astronauts returning home this evening! Let’s hope for an uncomplicated re-entry and splash landing!

    March 17: short on protein goal again. But mainly because I missed lunch due to my crazy work schedule. I did get in enough water and my yoga class. Steps fell short at 4,851.

    I'm back for another month.

    I'm a 47 year old, 5' 2", busy mom of 5. I lost 40 pounds and then flirted with my goal weight for almost a year. The scale was going steadily up for several months, so I'm bringing it back down. I'd love to get to my goal weight of 120-123 in the next couple months and then *maintain* it.

Every Sunday I've been going waaaaay over calories, even well over maintenance calories, completely throwing in the towel. I've decided to make Sunday aΒ plannedΒ day to eat at maintenance, giving myself a one-day break on the calorie deficit while logging everything, to see if that helps.
    • March 17: 127.2 Well I ate at maintenance yesterday, and voila, there's maintenance.

    Was a good week for me, coming back from vacation I got right back to it and was on plan most of the week. I was over my calorie limit on Monday (snacks on the bingo table), which I had planned for it - but it was more than I anticipated. Had my pre-physical yesterday, doctor is very happy with the weight I am now. I was thinking another five pounds, but she said no. She'd rather see me at the top of the BMI range instead of lower at my age. I had blood drawn for lab testing - I am very interested to see how my cholesterol is. It has been high for as long as I can remember - coming down with the weight loss, but still over the range. I'm hoping to see a normal result this time.

    @jm216 Walking saved my life. When you walk inside do you follow a workout routine or just walk? I have a few channels that I watch on YouTube that keep it fun inside (other than watching TV on the treadmill). If you ever want some suggestions let me know.

    Hi all! I'm joining this challenge for March. 140 lbs this morning..goals of 135.
    I do a week of Indigenous Eating in November/try to eat foods native to America. This month I'm challenging myself to eat an early European diet. I'll see if I lose 5 lbs!;)

    Hi All,

    I'm back for another month.

    I'm a 47 year old, 5' 2", busy mom of 5. I lost 40 pounds and then flirted with my goal weight for almost a year. The scale was going steadily up for several months, so I'm bringing it back down. I'd love to get to my goal weight of 120-123 in the next couple months and then *maintain* it.

    • March 14: 127.0 That scale is lying! I've been eating at a good calorie deficit every day for long enough that it should go down again, not up. Even 100-200 calories over my goal should put me at a somewhat decent deficit. Whatever. Our dinner was pretty late in the day last night; maybe there was a lot of sodium or something. Stay the course!!

    • March 16: 127.2 A disappointing result on the scale this morning. I've been working hard; I really thought I'd see a better result. But given that a week ago I was 1.8 pounds heavier, I guess I shouldn't complain.

Every Sunday I've been going waaaaay over calories, even well over maintenance calories, completely throwing in the towel. I've decided to make Sunday aΒ plannedΒ day to eat at maintenance, giving myself a one-day break on the calorie deficit while logging everything, to see if that helps.
    • March 17: 127.2 Well I ate at maintenance yesterday, and voila, there's maintenance.

    πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€ 03/20-195.2- (Trend Weight: 194.6) I had a horrible eating day yesterday with all bad choices. I’m surprised the weight did not go up more. I’ll have to watch the scale the next few days to see if it catches up. I’m not trying to make excuses, it’s in the science. This Type 2 diabetes is kicking my butt lately. The hunger and the cravings (very common symptoms) are through the roof. I am quite sure that the better I get my glucose under control, the better those symptoms will be. To lose weight, those symptoms have GOT TO improve but it seems impossible. Like I’m running in circles chasing my own tail. First step, get the glucose numbers down and everything else will become normal struggles with possibilities! I know how this works. I’ve got to get back in the game and play to win!

    This week has been bad. I’m depressed and eating chocolate bunnies daily. My mum is moving 5 hrs away and my eldest will be 14 hours away. It means way less time with her and basically not seeing my eldest again. No more weekends every couple of months to visit mum and the lovely coastal town I still call home, no joint birthdays for the boys in July. They need to move on with their lives but my life is not moving forward and I feel like I’m being left behind. Losing this latest job was really hard on me and now I’m barely going to see my mum either. I know it’s ridiculous but it’s how I feel.

    Hi all! I'm joining this challenge for March. 140 lbs this morning..goals of 135.
    I do a week of Indigenous Eating in November/try to eat foods native to America. This month I'm challenging myself to eat an early European diet. I'll see if I lose 5 lbs!;)

    March 1- 140 (cold plate w/mozzarella, olives, toast and salad greens / soup)
    March2- 140 (Meatballs, greens, and a whole grain roll)
    March 3-139 (Salmon w/ Brussel sprouts and rice)

    03/20-195.2- (Trend Weight: 194.6) I had a horrible eating day yesterday with all bad choices. I’m surprised the weight did not go up more. I’ll have to watch the scale the next few days to see if it catches up. I’m not trying to make excuses, it’s in the science. This Type 2 diabetes is kicking my butt lately. The hunger and the cravings (very common symptoms) are through the roof. I am quite sure that the better I get my glucose under control, the better those symptoms will be. To lose weight, those symptoms have GOT TO improve but it seems impossible. Like I’m running in circles chasing my own tail. First step, get the glucose numbers down and everything else will become normal struggles with possibilities! I know how this works. I’ve got to get back in the game and play to win!

    03/21 – 194.2 (Trend Weight – 194.5) Spring break started today for DGS in school so I did not have to get up early for the bus and was able to weigh-in at a normal decent time. I had a good day yesterday on the food-front, but exercise was still non-existent. There’s so much more room for improvement for me on this journey. When I’m on, I’m on. But when I’m off, well….. Time to get back on the bandwagon.

    πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€ 03/22-DNW- (Trend Weight: DNW) What a Horrid way to start my Saturday. Woke up with freezing cold temps in the house again and furnace blowing cold air. I had a new Google Nest thermostat installed yesterday and they did have to shut off the breaker to the furnace for a bit. Recently when we had a power outage and furnace was off, it also quit blowing heat. It runs and blows, but blows cold air. Sounds related to me, like the pilot won’t auto light afterward. Last time we had several days of it not wanting to stay lit once it was reset. Of course, in this rural area there are no heating and cooling parts stores. Ugh. Then….. I went to weigh this morning and my scale wouldn’t work because it needs to be charged. It always just goes from full-blast work to dark window stop with no warning! I’m charging it this morning but I’m not waiting on my coffee. I’ll weigh in tomorrow and post. I have another scale but couldn’t find it in the renovation mess. It’s packed somewhere! Today is DGS’s birthday party. It’s being held about 1 Β½ hours from my house closer to where he lives. He’s turning 6. Cake, ice cream, pizza etc will be served. It is being held at a hotel with fancy pools etc. I hope this heat issue doesn’t stop me from attending.
