Hi everyone,
Happy Weekend!
@RubyRed427 , the colonoscopy results: They removed one polyp, but it was very small. Results for that in about two weeks. Everything else looked good.
Having a little trouble keeping calories below 1,450 because I fasted for almost two full days, but I'm getting back into my wellness routine now.
Have a great day!🌷

@RubyRed427 Hahahah No it's not a boring post. I can relate (!?!?!): I am dog sitting two dogs this next week. They are so fun. It will keep me busy for sure. I wish I could take them for five mile walks. One in particular would appreciate it because he's a 'wee bit high strung' shall we say. The other is a former service dog and exactly the opposite.
Today is my "second" day of the week. I divide the week into two blocks of three days each. It helps me set small goals. Friday doesn't count because it's weigh in day. Then the first block is Saturday, Sunday, Monday. I can mentally plan three days at a time. And then I just put my head down power through. Thursday is a bit tough.
I'm lucky because I don't have all these other daily life obstacles that many of you face. I like hearing about them. I just don't want to struggle through them myself. My life is very simple and it helps. (hee hee hee. No colonoscopies for me)

@RubyRed427 we love reading your posts, comments & encouragement You give us strength to stay strong and keep going 💕
Thanks for the small bowl 🥣 reminder.
Have fun at Pilates and your community pool. I do miss water aerobics 🏊♀️🏊♀️And best wishes waiting on your plateau to release. You’ve got this 🏆

My treadmill arrived way sooner than I thought it would. They told me April 1! We set it up and I just did 2 miles while holding and moving around light hand weights. I love having it here at home and not have to get dressed and go to our community center, which doesn't even open until 10 am. I don't think it is even open on Sundays. I feel so energized and it is only 6:30 am. This treadmill was under $250.00 so I hope it holds up. We will see about the durability but so far so good. I watched 2 episode of Man Vs Food….I love that crazy show, and the time just flew by.

Happy trails on your new treadmill. Perfect start to your morning.

Hi @SunnyDays930! So you did the treadmill already? At 6:30am?! Awesome! Please be careful with balance while holding weights while using the treadmill! My treadmill speed is over 4mph and I don't think I'd be able to do that. Maybe with a weighted belt or ankle weights or something...I don't know. Can you elevate the track on an incline to make it more challenging? (That might be safer than holding weights while walking.)
Under $250? That's way less expensive than I thought! Can you input stats like age, gender, height, weight, etc.? Does it tell you how many calories you burned, your mileage and distance? Would you mind sharing the brand and model so we can look it up?
Best wishes for lots of relaxing yet productive walking!💫
❤️ Carole

Oh no, Carole, this is BASIC and not at all fancy. it will tell you distance, calories burned, speed and how fast you are going. I am going SLOW when holding my weights…..max 3 mph. It is called the Akluer walking pad treadmill. This one has a bar which I find is a MUST. I have already grabbed onto it a few times when I got a little off balance. I really want to build up my stamina for when we go to Europe in the Fall. My husband is using it too so hopefully we will get into better shape!

I did 40 minutes on my treadmill this morning then ran after a 2 year old all day, logging a total of 7.5 miles. If I haven't lost at least a half lb tomorrow morning I will throw a tantrum.

Hello everyone!
Helpful tip:
If you're on a desktop computer or laptop, holding down Shift+Enter should give you a single line return (instead of the default double line). I haven't figured out how to do this from the phone on the app yet, but if I do, I will make sure to share with the group!
Here's the first example.
Here's the second example.
Here's the third!Have a great day!

Carole my problem is 'copy and pasting' from a word document to MFP. the spacing is way off.

Oh my! So close to 169 lbs. which would make my day! Walking a ton these last few weeks, but drinking wine, too. That does not help. I did a 100 mile March challenge and hit my 100th mile yesterday. Also, we're going to Pilates twice this week. Eating moderately, but drinking my calories.
I will not give up!Thanks for traveling this health journey with me! Love to see your posts everyday. 🍎

Hello everyone,
Not much new to share this week. I had a couple of health setbacks (not scale related ones) but things are getting better and I anticipate the rest of this week will be fine.
I did gain last week but I dropped back down this week as I think it was mostly water weight from an increased week of sodium.
I hope you all are having a productive and successful week!

Way to go @RubyRed427. 100 miles in less than 30 days is bookin it!!!! That's awesome.
You must feel really good. In the past I have succeeded at walking regularly. At one point I was walking six times a week, 2 miles each walk. This is was over 5 years ago. For me😉I was in good shape.
I used to figure one mile was worth 100 calories. I know that's pretty generous. But using my math (3500 cal per pound) you have saved 2.85 pounds. I'd say you deserve a glass of wine (or a couple glasses😁)
ETA: It was 100 miles LESS THAN 30 days. Any of us reading this would take a 2 pound loss any day.
4 -
Thanks! I also used to walk every day for about 30-40 min. ten years ago, and I was in my best shape. I think if I just continue this rain or shine, it will make a huge difference. I also read walking is so good because it pumps your lymphatic system and that can only be a good thing.

I have less than ten pounds to lose before I am at the (high end) of ideal weight, according to the charts. Started dieting in october. I would like to lose about twenty more. Up till a month ago I was losing consistently about 2 pounds a week. The last month, I stayed in a plateau, in spite of upping my steps to 20K a day. Now I've dropped about a pound or so, so I am closer to 8 pounds to lose. But I am confused as to why I can't seem to lose weight in spite of a significant deficit every day. At this rate I don't think I am going to lose the ten pounds by the end of the challenge but I'd be happy with five at this point.

I've still got five pounds to go. It sounds like nothing but it's probably 2 months of consistent work. My plan was to slowly get into maintenance but I'm afraid to do that. Scarlett O'Hara would say "think about it tomorrow". But hey! She's got an 18" waist. What does she know about anything!

I have been walking at least 40 minutes every morning on my new treadmill. It has been a great way to start my day and I have no more excuses of "it's too hot, too cold, too rainy "etc. since it is right here in my home. I still have 0.8 lbs to go by the 31st to meet my goal of being under 160 by the end of the month. I think I can do it! April goal: 155 lbs.
Every story here is so inspiring and I am so proud of all of us, whether we lose or gain, we keep showing up and keep trying to live our healthiest lives. So yay for us!

When I first glanced at it I thought it was SIX WEEK not six days! You'll be down five pounds in a few more weeks. Keep at it. Patience will get you progress for sure.

@Sunnydays what do you do during that 40 minutes each morning? I sure couldn't drink my coffee. And I've never understood people who say they read.
Today's a beautiful day. I'm committing to get my walk in. No rain so that can't be my excuse.
