Appreciate the update Durden. Looking at the Fitbit forums the link from Fitbit to Strava as well as MFP is broken leading me to suspect Fitbit is at fault.

Yep, my last synching with Fitbit was Thursday so I am in the same boat as everyone else. My Fitbit still shows installed on MFP and based on the other times this has happened, I have learned NOT to unlink my accounts and then re-link because if I do, I end up losing more functionality than just the not synching issue. I will only do it once I see the majority have regained the synching feature. I have had a Fitbit of some kind for over 10 years and I have been on MFP for over 10 years and this happens, although I wouldn't say often but often enough for me to leave things alone until I see the issues have been resolved. I hope it is resolved soon because these problems are not justifying my premier membership at the moment!

I am in the same boat of MyFitnessPal and my Fitbit Sense not syncing together; though MyFitnessPal says it has “synced”- I just don’t know with what.

Reading through all of these messages, it sounds like it is an issue on MyFitnessPal’s end. I would ASSUME (or at least I hope) since there are so many of us now having the same issue, they are working to resolve it.

Maybe someone from the MyFitnessPal staff will let us know where they are in the process of getting this all worked out? That might help alleviate some frustration; at least letting us know y’all are aware of the situation and that y’all are trying to address it.

This is definitely a Fitbit issue. Its not just MfP, but Strava, Noom etc etc all being reported as having linking issues.

I am tired of deleting and re installing. It then removes my previous days of synced data from FitBit. I thought it was an issue with FitBit. I checked out the community forums… it is the integration with the disconnect. So it could be the update that MFP had is no longer working with Fitbit version… either Fitbit should update or MFP rollback… I am not a developer but there are too many issues for this not to be posted as an issue on their status site

I finally got it working after 3 days. I had to log into MFP on my laptop and Connect Fitbit via the online app. I had tried doing this using the online version on my phone, but it didn't work, but this time it's now syncing. Let's see how long it lasts.

Same issue. This is so frustrating. this is the second time this has happened in the last 5 months last time it took shy of 4 weeks for them to fix. it seems like every time they do an update they screw things up.

I have spent hours trying to connect it. Even through Google fit and health check and can't get anything to track my steps.

Very frustrating. And no response from email support for days.

Hi, i have the same issue as nicolaward264.

when i try to connect my fitbit to the app i keep getting this message below even though i tick the "Allow All" access to the myfitnesspal app. How do we resolve it to get them connected? thanks

To connect your FitBit account please allow MyFitnessPal to access all FitBit data points.

I had the same issues 3/22/25 after the 3/21 update. I was able to go to the MyFitnessPal website 3/23 & reload the Fitbit app. It worked just fine syncing my exercise/steps only that day. Since then, 3/24-today, it's not working again. This is ridiculous!!! The 3/21 update obviously messed things up tremendously & needs to be fixed!

Same problem overhere. It already wasn't amazing at syncing, but I thought it was a problem from my phone. Since yesterday it won't connect anymore. Both in app and browser give the same issue.

    Commenting again in this thread.

I received a message from MFP stating that they were "looking into this issue" and they were closing out my trouble shooting ticket.

    Brilliant!

If this is a Fitbit issue, then we are basically screwed, because Google just cuts off support for third party companies and even their own products without acknowledgement. (Fitbit One for instance and the Fitbit website)

My advice, do the double entry (MFP | Fitbit) or find another tracker, although I was one of the abandoned ones on Windows Phone that MFP just stopped supporting.

Yeah, I am frustrated, and MFP does not answer when asked.

    Hi,

MFP didn't log my steps or exercise calories yesterday.

    I've tried everything.

    Force stops, uninstalls, revoke permissions…

It's finally synced for today, but yesterday seems lost forever.

It's messed up my health record, and I'm not happy about it.

I will pile on and add my syncing issues on Android. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps. Now, the 2 won't connect. The connection process keeps running in circles: Connect with Fitbit, allow all data, Get App, back to connect.

I have not been happy with Fitbit since the acquisition by Google.

I have the same issues (Android 13, MFP v25.11.0-40427, FitBit v4.38), Synchronization didn't work anymore since 21. march, disconnected both apps, revoked permissions, and when I try co connect MFP to FitBit again, I only get the message that I have to give all Permissions, despite checking all the Boxes…

On the other hand, tried synching via Health Connect, but FitBit is not reading any Nutritional data from it…

    What the Hell?

Myfitnesspal seems to have stopped connecting to my fitbit

So I have just spent a very frustrating 40 mins on chat with a Google Support person going over this issue.  I allowed myself to be walked through the same procedure I have been through every day since the weekend to try and get my Fitbit Steps etc into MyFitnessPal.

This included deleting all the connected Apps (via Manage connected apps in Settings), clearing cache, checking version numbers for MFP / Fitbit and Android on my Pixel Pro 8 etc etc.

In the end nothing changed.  I was then asked to contact MyFitnessPal as they should be able to help more, when I pointed out that this was not an issue with JUST MyFitnessPal, but with Strava and Noom as well, then I got this reply:

"We understand the frustration this may cause, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused, but please keep in mind that Fitbit is aware of this situation and it's working for this, however, we do recommend to contact the apps supports directly in order to receive further assistance."

So it seems Fitbit is aware of the issue, but still want me to contact MFP.

I am now finding this incredibly frustrating, but since Google took over Fitbit the level of engagement with customers, and the way they treat customers seems to have declined massively.

Has anyone else had any luck at all, or got any further?

    Cheers,

    Ian
