Please DO NOT send me a friend request unless you are a legitimate human that is using MFP for health/fitness reasons, and you would like a friend for support. I'm tired of getting men asking me if I'm single. I'm really tired of the SCAM of men friending me then saying they are stationed in Iraq. Always starts the same. How are you. You look so beautiful and fit; have you been using MFP long? What do you do for work? What device do you use? I need mine to track my sleep because of my work. I'm stationed in Iraq. That is the biggest line of BS. STOP STOP STOP. Please for the love of God STOP! This is a fitness app/tool to help people with their health and fitness goals. That is why I am here. Nothing more. I do appreciate "REAL" people friending me and chatting about Health and fitness related stuff. Friends who support each other and help when they can. I will happily friend anyone who is truly looking for support. If you are not that, then kindly buzz off.

    I think you are writing about a different app. MFP kind of killed off the whole "friends" thing a couple of months ago.

    I’ve gotten fourteen requests hanging fire from obvious scammers. I haven’t replied to any of them, but they have all the earmarks we’ve discussed here a thousand time before.

    At least if my husband gives me any lip, I can show him the gallery of handsome older men breathlessly waiting to friend me.

    He doesn’t need to know they don’t exist. 🤣


    consider yourself lucky you’re male and don’t get hammered with this baloney.

    If you get a friend request like this, please report them either to our Customer Happiness team, or to me directly via DM so I can remove them from our site.

    Yes, please report these creeps to MFP. Unlike on other social media apps, the MFP staff really do go after these jerks and kick them off the app. If you report, you can save other women from those particular creepers, at least. MFP won't tell the creep who reported them, and you can bet that if they're creeping on you, they're creeping on others at the same time.

    Unfortunately, the creeps are not going to read your posts here and stop creeping you because of them. I wish.
