@faurotann I watch TV while on the treadmill. Usually an episode of Bargain Block. It is 2 guys in Detroit that rehab the most dilapidated houses. They are hilarious. There is no way I could read on the treadmill. I would fall off.

I’m on a 7-day road trip visiting relatives and friends in Idaho & Montana. Home Tuesday
also found my new favorite protein drink

Thanks, Karen. I'll look for that. 30 grams of protein for only 180 calories is great. Have a great trip. My daughter just got back from Idaho. It was cold.

Thank you
for continuing this challenge. Thanks to everyone for the useful advice I read on this thread. There's lots of things I need to look at and consider, thanks all. Although I only look at this page once a week, it is reassuring to know that others are in the same situation as me and we are all making progress!
My aims for this month are to: get back to being active, reduce my bread/pasta/rice/potato intake, try to get at least 7 hours sleep a night and to return to tracking my meals - to get into 130-ville!
My name is Nikki, and I'm 5'3" (on a good day!). I'm based on the south coast in the UK. I'm in my 50s and work full time as a teacher. I'm pretty active - but there's always room for some more.
My GW is 133lb
my UGW is 126 - although that is very optimistic!
I weigh in on Thursdays, but get around to posting at the weekendsProgress so far:

Time to get back into tracking and start being more accountable to myself! Good luck everyone with this round of weight loss!
06 Feb - 143.2lb (1.4lb)Not a great week, but no excuses. I need to get my head back into this!
Any tips to get me out of this rut?
13 Feb - 142.6 (0.6)That will have to do. My head is still elsewhere unfortunately. Thanks for
for the idea about water and protein - it is something I will look into. Thanks also to
for the positivity - there's still a way to go until I'm happy with what I see in the mirror!
I'm off to Rome for a residential trip with the school next week - I'm not sure I will be able to curb the carbs and drink lots of water. However, we are going to do a lot of walking. Good luck to everyone next week!
20 Feb - 143.4lb (+0.8)Considering how much and what I ate in Rome - that weight measurement actually isn't that bad!
I'm not a fan of coffee, so that wasn't a problem! However, I ate a lot of pasta, a lot of pizza and some fast food - not my first choices for meals that's for sure. However, I did an awful lot of walking - over 18,000 steps on Monday, over 30,000 steps on Tuesday, over 23,000 steps on Wednesday and over 20,000 steps on Thursday - a lot more than I normally do!! I'm looking forward to eating salads and vegetables next week, with the hope I can get to the end of February weighing less than at the start!!
27 Feb - 142.6lb (-0.8)I know it's not much, but I'll have it!
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS FOR FEBRUARY: 0.6That is really quite rubbish, so I am hoping that I will get my head back into things. Work has been quite stressful and one of my sister's is in hospital after complications with a heart operation, so my head hasn't been in a diet-mode. She is getting better, so hopefully I will be around for proper meals and thinking about my health. Good luck everyone with their weight loss this month!
06 Mar -141.4lb (-1.2)😎 - Yay! I can't say what I did, but I'll take it. Well done to everyone who has lost weight this week! You are an inspiration and remind me that it can be done!!
13 Mar - 141.0lb (-0.4) 😎- A pitiful loss! 😞 Well done to everyone who is on track with their weight loss. I need to get my head back into this, especially now the days are getting longer and it is getting warmer. No excuse not to go out and be active! Good luck to everyone next week!
20 Mar - 142.6lb (+1.6) 😴
27 Mar - 143.6lb (+1.0) 😴
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS FOR MARCH - GAIN 1.0lb! 😓 - Not a great month! Time to get my butt into gear and not use any number of excuses not to focus on making better food choices. I hope everyone else is doing better than me!! Let hope next month is better!

We lost our furnace 14 days ago. It is very cold in Northern Michigan, with temperatures reaching as low as 13 degrees. To make matters worse, all of Northern Michigan was hit with a horrible ice storm, knocking power out for over 100,000 homes. We are on day 4 of no electricity. We have had to go far from home to find a hotel. I will catch up on all the posts when all of these matters are resolved. Can’t get furnace replacement without electric service working. Wishing you all good luck for April!

Oh Donna. I'm so sorry. Thanks for letting us know. I'll be checking your weather and waiting for a thaw. No electricity. Let us know when you get back home. Miserable. So sorry.

Donna prayers your life returns to normal soon. So hard living away from home
💕 Karen

That is a nightmare. I'm so sorry you are going through this. That is terrible!!!
5 -
@deepwoodslady I hope your furnace is now fixed. Being without heat and electricity is so hard. I'm also thinking of all our friends across the country experiencing all those scary storms and winds.
I've been walking nearly every day on my treadmill for 40 minutes. My weight continues to yo yo up and downs few lbs. I know what I should and shouldn't be eating, but I continue to eat the wrong stuff, and too much of it. I will make better choices today.

I've not seen that protein drink, but I have had FairLife Protein drinks and primarily Premier Protein shakes.
Premier Protein shakes have 160 calories, 3 grams of fat, 3 grams of carbs and 30 grams of protein.
That's great, because I shoot for the Zone Diet recommended ratio of 3 grams of fat, 9 grams of carbs and 7 grams of protein. All that extra protein can balance out a meal pretty well.Bottled protein shakes/drinks are very convenient, but protein powders can be a little cheaper. I have three flavors of Optimum Nutrition protein power (chocolate, vanilla, cafe latte). With the vanilla powder, I often add bananas and frozen strawberries to make a delicious protein smoothie.

Hi everyone,
My weight is NOW 161.8 as of this morning - Oh, NOoooo! I hit a "bump in the road" and "fell off the wagon"; so today I decided to hit "RESET" by deleting all my previous weight entries and updated my starting weight to TODAY, April 4, 2025.
I need to scale back my social networking a bit because I've been getting a little overwhelmed; so I'm going to jump off some of the boards I had joined in order to regain some time and hopefully improve my focus.
I would love to check in from time to time to see how everyone is doing.
Very best wishes to all on your own, personal "Wellness Journey"!
💖Carole

I had a pretty good week food - wise. I was under calories for all seven days. So I know this weight today is OK even though it's no loss. I may have lost a fraction anyway because I don't have a digital scale.

@Walela617 Great idea! A reset. I’m in too! Today is my day 1. I can feel myself slowly slipping into bad habits. A reset will help get me back on program and finish this challenge closer to goal. Good luck. Three weeks left. Stay strong. 💪
