My bad. I messed up the quote, so the answer isn't exact.
The correct quote is "Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives."
I thought it was Like sands through the hourglass, These Are The Days Of Our Lives.
The floor is open.

I figured it something like that, just didn't get around to replying yet.

Looking at AT40 I see Don't Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John Experience. I have never seen it listed that way I don't think.
Janis Ian + Stevie Nicks = [similar song titles]

I’ve never heard of Elton John Experience before, either. Interesting 🤔
That song is about the time he replaced a few of his band members with new musicians. His classic lineup was known as the Elton John Band (prior to Rock of the Westies). Maybe the next group was Elton John Experience? I just never saw that before.

The first song I thought of was Romeo's Tune.
I don't think I remember this one, but it has to be the one: Say Goodbye to Little Jo.

That’s it. From the same album as Romeo’s Tune. I think it was the follow up single. Was a minor hit. Should have been bigger. Give it a listen and see if you remember it.

A little bit of a stretch here. Kind of a play on words, but maybe appropriate for Rock 'n' Roll Arithmetic.
Jefferson Starship + fingers and toes = [song]
