How to kick the coffee creamer

Hi, trying to learn about macros and i know my creamer (2 cups of coffee daily) is affecting my diet. Best way to ditch it and learn how to drink black coffee.

What I’ve done in the past is kick it gradually and find a flavored coffee you like. Just pull back a little each week on the cream and experiment with coffee flavors. You’ll be done with the cream in no time!

I have the same problem. I like using the skinny syrups that have zero calories and either the unsweetened vanilla almond or oat milk. Those have 30 calories a cup and there's no way I'm using a whole cup in a cup of coffee every day. I might use half a cup max and I feel like 15 calories is worth it. It's not as good as the creamer, of course, but it's something

Another option to try, if you can eat dairy, might be hot, frothed nonfat milk. That won't work for everyone, but the frothing does give it a "creamy" and rather luxurious mouth-feel that some of us find quite satisfying. As a nutritional bonus, it's quite high in protein for its calories.

I use 1 tablespoon of half and half in a large iced coffee… only 20 calories. I have never found a satisfying substitute

Best way to learn to drink black coffee is to learn to make really good coffee. For me at least, good black coffee does not need all the extras.

this little gizmo will rock your coffee world.

1/3 cup skim (skim works best) pumped about twenty times, and then microwaved for thirty seconds will render 3/4 - 1 cup thick frothed milk.

Other than that, higher quality coffee. I’ve been drinking black coffee a lot- and enjoying it- since discovering quality coffee on a tecent trip. I never thought I’d enjoy black coffee, but this one is dark and rich with strong notes of chocolate.

I had the same issue. I decided to nix the coffee all together and switch to black tea. I actually believe it has helped lower my cortisol levels. For some reason I like the taste of black tea without cream but I just can’t do it with coffee.
