04/01 -- DNW (Trend Weight – DNW) Out of town at hotel due to Weather emergency, widespread power outages and lack of heat.
☔️☔️04/07 – 195.4 (Trend Weight – 194.9) I’m up 2.2 lbs overnight. Is it due to lack of water pill for nearly 2 weeks? That would contribute but I don’t think it’s all because of that. I mean, coincidentally, all at once? Nah….. I think it’s more than likely because I’m home and finishing up all the bad hotel snacks. Or is it just because I’m home period, and I have worse habits than I thought??? Hmmm… clearly something to think about. Down 0.4 this week. I’ll actually take it and be grateful given all the circumstances! After 17 days of no heat and 5 days of no power, perhaps I’m eating my emotions a bit too. Anyway, time to be aware of where I’m at on this journey and time to stay on a better path!

Hi there! I am new to this group and really want to be at a healthy weight by the end of this challenge. My goal is to lose 15 lbs. I am 58m, who has been going up and down with my weight for the past 8 years or so. I did a challenge from Jan-March, where I lost 13 lbs and now I would like to go the rest of the way to my goal weight of 175 lbs. I’ll be weighing in on Wednesdays every week!

Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two year have lost 90 pounds. I got to my goal weight in the last quarter of 2024, and now tackling the maintenance phase. There aren't too many maintenance threads on MFP, so hopped on this thread in January. I'm working on a buffer to make it so I never hit overweight again, but will be happy just to stay in the ideal BMI range the rest of my life. I weigh/check in on Wednesday and the end of the month.

☔April 2: 138.8 All previous Weekly Goals Met! A tough week for me - my daughter came home unexpectedly for the weekend, which led to three of the seven days over my daily calorie goal and salty! I did manage deficit this week - a whopping 30 calories.
☔April 9: 137.8 All previous Weekly Goals Met.We started a Spring walking adventure on April 1. As some of you know, walking the Airline trail in Connecticut is what spurred my initial weight loss journey, and since then walking has become a daily part of my life. I thought I would repeat the adventure every year, but decided I wanted to change things up a bit. So this year we are traveling the Hop River Trail. The trail parallels the Hop River for much of its length. It was originally a rail line from Hartford to Willimantic used for freight trains until the 1960s. The last train ran on September 29, 1970. The trail is part of the East Coast Greenway whose vision is to have a 3,000 mile long trail from Maine to Florida. One way is 20.8 miles, and we may add the 4.1 mile Vernon Spur - so round trip about 42 to 50 miles give or take a couple tenths.
We started our adventure on April 1. We won't do it every day (it's a drive to get there), but here is the highlights from the first week. We have completed almost 14 miles of the trail - but it's an in and out trail so the trail markers say we only got to mile marker 6.

☔️☔️04/14 -- DNW (Trend Weight -- DNW) Nopity-Nope to the scale today. Spent yesterday evening in self-sabotage mode and it was bad. Really bad. Every bit of worry and stress has seriously caught up to me. Perhaps tomorrow or the next day will see me back on the scale and if so, I’ll come back and report it so that I will have a baseline for next week. Snow expected today and tomorrow here in Michigan. SOS appointment today to renew license becoming Real ID compliant. Time to renew tabs before May birthday anyway.
