🌸 Just Give Me One Month - April 2025🌺
Replies

133. Going on holiday for 3 weeks next week with no scale. Aiming to maintain this weight now for about a month as I’m feeling extremely hungry between meals. So an extended diet break for me. I’m towards the lower end of my weight range.

Interesting how long it can take to shift those last few pounds. It can be agonising at times but I got there in the end.

4/10-166.8So I got my new scale. The old scale registered 166.9 so we are close but I am transferring to the new. I am glad to see they are closely registering the same numbers. As far as the metabolic factors, its interesting. I know Its a general guide and not 100% science .
Metabolic age is 53, that a few years older than what I actually am , indicating my metabolism and how my body burns calories compared to others at the same age.
Muscle Mass- higher is better, I register in the high range at 103.6 lb
Skeletal muscle- this is the amount of muscle attached to the bones. again higher is better and oddly, even though the above number is high, this number is low. I should be above 50%, I am at 38.4 %. Not sure I understand how I can be high in muscle mass but low in skeletal muscle? will have to look into this more.
Body Fat- I am still registering in the obese range at 34 %. or 56.8 lb. - it does note that people who are more muscular may be labeled as obese based on BMI value despite having low body fat. so its about body composition. I am short stature.. and not of a "slimmer " body type anyways so not sure I could ever get this into the average range..
BMI- I am in the slightly high range at 27.8, the app on the scale calculates 30 and higher as in the high range.
Body water- this is the water weight metric. today I am right on the line between low/average. This will be one to watch more closely over time , if it goes up much on the days I weigh more.
SubQ fat- this one surprised me. I am in the high range. It surprised me a bit because I associate this with having a large belly, which I really don't.. I have a waist line now!
Visceral Fat- I was glad that this measured in the average range at a 10. 11 is the line of being in the slightly high range. This metric is what gets us in trouble as we age with cardiovascular issues and diabetes, which I have alot of in my family. I want to work towards moving this number further down
There are a few more numbers the scale provides but less interesting or like protein, bone mass , BMI which provided no surprises.
Anyways, it will be interesting to see how these number look over time, ofcourse I realize some of it is to be taken with a grain of salt.
Today is my Friday at work.

4/12- DNWYesterdays weight bumped back up but I expected that. By the time I remembered this morning to get on the scale, I had already eaten and worked out and drank about 20 ounces of water.. so I will skip.
Yesterday was a full day , Starting out with a sick dog that needed to go the vet (all is ok now) and then home to begin outside projects done . At the end of the day I decided I needed to get one of the horses ridden since we have a show coming up and in the process of getting in the saddle my knee clunked/popped very loudly followed by significant pain , enough to bring tears to my eyes. I had to get off . I could not weight bear for about an hour . Today I am continuing with icing, wearing a brace and taking anti inflammatory meds but still having alot of pain.. more to come on that but I am so so so annoyed right now. I have so much to get done today .
3 -
@HappyDonkey75 Ouch! I hope your knee heals up.
I went over my calories by over 1,000 last night. Yeah, it was a binge. Haven’t done that in a really long time. I’m back on track today focusing on increasing my fibre. I can’t let myself slide into bingeing. It used to be a bit of a problem but I stopped. I think I have to make sure I have filling satisfying meals filled with protein and fibre. I’m going to buy some bran buds to have as a snack. Just need to focus.3 -
