Lisa - love the "Bad Boy" tractor and driver, lol. Does it have a brush hog (sometimes called a bush hog I believe) attached? My DH spent many happy hours on this tractors mowing down weeds and brush in the pastures we weren't haying years ago. You're so right, it will save Corey time and his own body wear and tear.

Sorry to hear about the nausea. Glad your shot is coming up in a couple weeks.

Started feeling better, and took on some chain work… was able to pull three fence posts out of there in ten minutes, ones I had worked on for two DAYS without anything to show for it but sore muscles and dirt. It was incredibly satisfying.

Lanette - no brush hog, but that's because we're scraping it all the way down past the top soil layer due to the load of old trash everywhere. $5,000 of this tractor purchase will be saved by not hiring someone to do most of the cleanup on the crack house.

The bucket in front and the box blade on back mean we can take trees down as big around as my forearm, whether in front of or behind the tractor, pulling or pushing. Just yank them up by the roots, that and a couple hundred feet of chain link fence.

Phone calls tomorrow to get a big roll-off dumpster out here and commence clean up! Busy summer to come... But so satisfying.

I’m not tan yet. When wearing shorts on our walks that’s what happens. I have a farmers tan right now.

Well, I’ve decided to tell BK Monday that Wed. will be my last day.

Because …….. quitting your job and trying to find a new one is easier than having a chat with your manager????

I spoke to Vince, at first I was going to tell them Wed. that that would be my last day. He said (which is true) that other companies can call and ask if an employee is rehirable. By telling them on Wed. they could interpret that as my not rehirable. So I’ll tell them Monday. If they say “you can use today as your last day”, I intend to say “are you sure? I’m willing to stay until Wednesday” The store manager is not stupid, I’m sure she can figure out why I’m leaving

I wouldn't count on her being able to read your mind. Most people can't read minds. And the conversations we have in our minds with people are rarely the same conversations in the minds of other people. Best not to assume. Best to have a real conversation and ask questions.

What are you planning to tell her when she asks?

I've no idea what you're talking about regarding "rehirable". Do you think, maybe, you're making things more complicated than they need to be?

Allie Also very dehydrating. Get as much liquid in you that you can! Soups, water the best right now. DH also had those issues with his treatments!

It has been so dry here since December.

Tonight we have had 6.2 mm of rain and it is still raining. We might get March's whole rainfall in one night!

The average rainfall for the first 4 months of the years is supposed to be about 131.5 mm. We've had 61.8 mm to earlier today. Tonight's rainfall will go a little way to improving things.

    Ladies, another topic.

This article in the latest issue of "Brain & Life" talks about financial difficulty and scams due to cognitive decline….. Inability to stay on top of bills, spend wisely and increased susceptibility to being scammed.

Cognitive Decline Can Lead to Financial Struggles and Scams—Here's What to Look For

Kind of a wake-up call for us. Will we know - and accept - when it's no longer safe for us to drive or manage our own bill paying and banking? If those days ever come, of course.

And who would we trust to take over if it ever comes to that?

    Some things to think about.
